lets say im on a diet for a few months.
then i eat a big salty meal and put on some water weight. the next day
im back on my diet.
do i have to burn off the water weight before fat starts burning
again?
or will the water go away while im burning fat?
thanks

The water has no calories to burn off. Just drink lots of water and
the water weight will slowly go away over a period of a few days or
so. :) I just go with the *flow* when it comes to water retention. I
forbid to drive myself insane over a 5 or sometimes even 10 pound
water gain after a day of high carb/salt foods ((breaded deep fried
chinese food)). Hey sometimes it even takes a week for my body to
level back out.
To answer your question. Yes you can and will still burn fat even
while retaining water. HeHe even though your clothes sometimes make
you think different. :) peace!

think of water weight and fat weight as driven by completely different
processes.
