The longest I've ever fasted was 2 days and 5 hours. It's not that bad once you
reach 24 hours. Give it a try. Remember in the early 80s when Elton John fasted
for 2 months?

I can go for the 24 hour fast for sure. It makes me feel alive. But
after that I start to lose mental alertness and fatigue sets in. And I
have to work! But I will entertain a 24 hour fast with you. I'm not in
the mood to see who can starve theirself the longest though. You are
right though after 18-24 hours the hunger really isnt an issue. But
the body lets you know in other ways, more violent than hunger
sometimes that it needs fuel.

This is a diet support group not an anorexia support group.
It is about right-sizing not blindly starving yourself
because you aren't interested in learning the best amounts.

Less is only better if you're currently eating too much.
Less for the sake of less without any reason is the road
to eating disorders.

I fast between meals.

Actually I already fast 18 hours everyday whether or not I am trying to fast,
so 24 hours of fasting doesn't seem like much to me. But I have fasted 53 hours
before, and it was not so painful.
