Thank you for your support while I lost the weight. Almost all of you were
very encouraging, and I had a lot of fun corresponding with you. What is
not fun is having to explain myself to those few who feel a need to question
my health choices and intimate dire consequences for not following their
particular advice.
It is getting harder and harder to weed out the know-it-alls, especially
those who make the effort to avoid being weeded. The solution for me is to
leave this group.
You can play amongst yourselves with any replies to this message, I'll not
be checking back.

I for one am very sorry to see Dewolla leave the group. She's been a very
successful member and I've learned a lot from her and her journey to better
health through diet and exercise.

I am sorry to see her leave, as well, even though she is very likely
to come back.

That's the exact kind of nastiness that most people would like to avoid. It
wasn't necessary.

And this is EXACTLY why many of us do not spend time here....the nastiness
from one poster outweights a lot of what used to be cool in asd. It's really
sad.

Agreed. Dewolla will be missed and the nastiness really should stop.
Unfortunately, I'm not very hopeful that it will. :-/

Just of the off-chance you *do* check back ... you have an awful lot to
offer. I enjoyed your posts, your progress and your personal growth. Good
luck.

That is my biggest problem with *any* support usenet group. There are
more than a few that will tell you exactly who you are doomed to
failure unless you stop what you are doing, ignore everyone else who
is telling you the exact same thing, and follow their advice and their
advice alone.

Good Riddance. Be sure the a.s slams you in the door, and knocks you
unconscious. Remember, you are a loser, and I dont mean a loser of
weight. You are a big fat ugly slob with a lousy personality, and no
one wanted you here anyhow. We are all glad to see you go.
Do us all a favor, and do not come back, fatso...

Ah yes, another courageous individual using tough words with complete
anonymity. Parents - this is why you need to keep your 10 year olds away
from the computer when you aren't around.

Please don't automatically assume it's a kid who would do that. Kids are
largely above that kind of behavior; it's the adults who you need to watch out
for. My 9 1/2 year old would never stoop so low.

Funny. I was under the impression the '10 year old warning' was so that 10
year olds wouldn't become the target of crazy tr*llers.... not necessarily
that a 10 yo wrote that nasty post.

I kinda read it and took it the same way Beeswing did. But I also know that
my 10 yr old would also never do anything like this either. And I would be
more concerned about him being a target....
I would think that the idiots out there are really either late teens, and
adults. I know a few adults in RL that would easily have the capability of
being a usenet idiot.

The cr*p really does have a way of coinciding with school vacations, doesn't
it! I always forget that.

There's even one that posts regularly to this newsgroup!

You're right, most wouldn't stoop that low and tend to have better manners
than our trolls.
