That membership certificate for Bally's that I bought on eBay finally showed
up in the mail.
Since I'm going to be locked into one location, I've been trying to decide
between the one closest to work, and the one closest to home. I checked out
the one by work a while ago, and while it was all new and clean, there were
a couple of things that I didn't like about it. The showers were only semi
private (no doors on the stalls) and the guy showing me around made it
glaringly obvious that he was only there to get his commission.
Checked out the one by home tonight, and there's just no comparison. It's
about 3 times as big, and every conceivable type of machine in abundance.
The weight room alone is as big as the main room with all the treadmills at
the other place. It has a 1/7 mile track, private showers, and enough
parking for a fleet of trucks. Even when I brought up the subject of
trainers, he said that even if I don't spend the money on a private one, to
just ask any of the staff and they'll steer me in the right direction.
I think I've found the one I'm going to sign up at. I'm getting so stoked.
All I have to get now is a couple of chepie towels that won't matter if they
get lost or grabbed.
I'll go sign up after work Monday, and I'll start up just as soon as the
membership clears. Wish me luck.

I envy you. I lived right next to a gym 2000-2003 but didn't go
enough, and now I just kick myself.
Enjoy your super gym!
