Family Reunion

Our 69th annual Family Reunion (Mom's side) was held on
Saturday. We all had a great time, but the running joke
at this gathering is in regards to the prevailing body
type--the females on mom's side of the family tend to
be (overly) large, pear-shaped women.

While flipping through the photo albums of reunions
past, I found that this has always been the shape of
things. I also found that some joker thought the line
at the buffet was a good annual photo op--and it
inspired my sister to snap a few butt shots of us while
we were at the trough.

My SIL (on DH's side, but also my second
cousin--stunted family tree) insisted the a.s in the
picture was NOT hers. I had recognized my fat fanny in
some of the albums, and was happy to note that it is
now considerably smaller.

Anyway, when I get the butt shots from my sister, I'll
share.

Take from me, it's a traumatic view even if you've lost a lot of weight.
 :-(

My standard phrase is, "God granted me the mercy of not having to see
that view."

I guess that's why we don't have eyes in the back of
our heads.
