Week 3 update

Weight = 84.5 kg (cca 185.9 lbs) , which means that I've lost:
- 1 kg (cca 2.2 lbs) last week, &
- 4.5 kg (cca 9.9 lbs) during the last 3 weeks.

Measurements:
- breasts: 102 cm (lost 1 cm / lost 5 cm altogether)
- waist: 85 cm (lost 0 cm / lost 3 cm altogether)
- belly button: 96.5 cm (lost 1.5 cm / lost 7 cm altogether)
- hips: 116 cm (lost 1 cm / lost 2 cm altogether)
- thigh: 62 cm (lost 0.5 cm / lost 2 cm altogether)
- calf: 39.5 cm (lost 0.5 cm / lost 1.5 cm altogether)

According to FitDay, the average carb intake for week 3 was 52 grams/day
(that's 12 grams of carbs higher than the GP/nutritionist's recommendation).

Average calories burned through exercise per day were 219 calories
burned/day.

BMI = 33.1 / 31.5 (down 0.3% in a week; 1.6% altogether)
BF% = 31.1% /  28.9% (down 0.9% in a week; 2.2% altogether)

The third week was rather difficult food- and exercise-wise, due to the PMS
& AF
cravings... I ate very poorly for a couple of days. Now it's back to normal,
but it's something I need to work on if I don't want the pattern to repeat
the next month. I was also rather crampy (more crampy than I was before I
had the baby) and didn't feel at all like doing the home exercise program. I
did walk and swim, though.

I reached the higher mini-goal limit and now need to lose another half kg
(1.1 lbs) to reach the lower mini-goal. And I am very positive I will reach
that before the mini-goal due date (August 20th). People are already
starting to notice that I've lost weight, but they say that it  shows only
in the upper part of the body - legs still look the same - which is always a
problem for me - in the past, I looked fit from waist up, but legs never
looked completely fit. Especially the knees. Although, today DH said that
the
knees are finally appearing underneath the fat ;-)
I had a dream the other night that my abdomen was flat :-))
I am sleeping much better than before, and finally feel the desire to dress
better (I usually spend my days in exercise shorts and T-shirts).

The goal for this week is to do more callisthenics, eat more veggies and
drink more water.

Excellent!  You look as though you're well in line to meet your 20
August mini-goal (what is the Big Event?)

I'm going away on a holiday - but that's not really the Big Event ;-) I just
needed a specific date to sort of have visual of, IYKWIM? When you need to
lose 25 kg (cca 55 lbs), it's easy to get discouraged because you feel and
you know that the goal is so far away... But when you have a monthly
mini-goal... that just feels different - especially when you meet that goal
:-)

Fair enough.  Last time I lost a lot of weight - over ten years ago now
- I also allowed myself a reward each time I dropped a stone (14 lbs); a
massage, perhaps, or some new bubble-bath.  I'll probably do the same
this time.

This holiday was planned before I started this WOE, but I think I'll be more
successful with the reward approach, too :-) Hmmm, I'm trying to figure out
what the next mini-goal and the reward for reaching it will be already ;-)

180 lbs by the end of September?  You probably don't want to aim for
more than 5 lb/month loss, or it'll be too hard to keep off.  You could
reward yourself with a new belt - you'll be needing one by then, to keep
your trousers up!

A great steady progress Elly. I am extremely impressed with how
meticulously you keep track of things. And it works well for you so
far.
