Weird. 300 posts to usenet in the last 4 months referencing batteries from kelly.
But since you're so curious, an energizer D cell has:
18 Amp hours * 1.15 (average) volts = 20.7 Watt-hours
= 70.587 BTU
= 17787.924 calories
= 17.787924 kcal
So the average person would need to eat 100 energizers/day to remain satiated.
