This morning I had a good look at myself in the mirror and noticed some
very definite changes. I came here a few weeks ago, frustrated that the
fat on my hips wasn't going, well, it's going now! And it shows. I fit
into pants I couldn't wear for a year, and they are comfortable and no
longer "hold-my-breath-or-I-burst" pants.
All of a sudden I found myself turning back and forth in front of the
mirror to admire my physical shape. And I really liked what I saw there.
Very good motivator, I will do that more often! In a couple of weeks I
will visit some relatives who last saw me 15lbs heavier, I wonder what
they will say.
I have posted at another diet group (in my native tongue) and the only
thing they can do there is flame eachoter over the pills they take to
boost their metabolism. With that as a backdrop, this group is friendly
and helpful. Imagine that! ;-)

Congratulations! It's always great to fit back into clothing that had
become too tight on us.
Don't be disappointed if some of the relatives don't notice the 15lb loss.
You're able to see and feel the difference in the fit of clothing but they
might not see the difference.

Just don't be disappointed if they don't notice. It's nothing against you,
but you see yourself every day and can normally notice changes :)

This is a pretty decent group overall. Almost all of the regular posters
are helpful and mean well - some don't. Just like life, you have quite a
mix. Glad it's helping!

What a great feeling! Fitting into 'old' clothes that once were too
small is a WONDERFUL THING! This is my best part ! BUT the mirror will
NOT LIE! Don't you just love it :)

The mirror lies to me., that's how I got to be borderline obese in the
first place.
I don't see much a difference between now and a year ago, but the
pants certainly fit a lot better, and the 40" Dockers I bought in 2002
are certainly cavernous now.
Now to finish the job so my old 34" 501's from college will fit -- 2"+
away still.

Interesting, I always thought it was the opposite: as I see myself every
day, I don't notice the changes... Ah well, I know at least one person
will notice: my mum. She last saw me at the peak of my weight, and my face
is one of the first places to notice the loss. So...
Anyway, I'm not doing it for them to see, but for me to feel good. :)
