Right but do the kids need that? Could you consider improving their WOE
at the same time that you are working on your own? For example, maybe
you could have Cheerios in the house for the kids (more fiber, less
sugar, similar calorie count). Otherwise, would you consider having
them eat a cereal that they like but you don't like?

I can understand saving money but is it a bargain if you are posting
about how you ate it and shouldn't have eaten it every day? And if they
eat that much of it wouldn't you want them eating something healthier
than Lucky Charms?

I'm sorry. There seemed to be a lot of angst in your posts.

No, the kids don't need that. Usually like I said they don't have that much
of a choice. They do also have honey nut cherrios and crispix now and
usually have mini wheats, shreddies, life, special K and others around. We
mix up the cereals usually. It's also a rule that they have to eat 90% of
the cereal we have on hand before we buy them more of anything. Their
cereals don't tempt me. I had the lucky charms because it was the only
cereal from the selection I had that I liked. Now I have just right and vive
soy so I won't eat any more of theirs.

I think my above post explains this.

No need to apologize and I hope that you aren't thinking that I'm being
defensive at your posts. I'm just trying to explain my lifestyle a bit
more. You did sense angst but it's not from food. Food is what I'm turning
to because of the angst. I seem to be battling personal demons inside and
I'm not really on track with the food. I don't get mad at myself for having
eaten it but I do question why I ate it. What it gave me and if I'm likely
to do it again.
Once again, thanks for the post :)

Of course not. I mean, everyone has a different lifestyle, differing
food preferences, etc. I think that the key is finding out what works
for you. I was only saying that DH has some foods that I might get into
and I just moved them to another location where I am less likely to see
them. The out of site, out of mind thing works for me mostly. I do
sometimes get into his stash but it's normally only for the individually
packed pitted prunes that I keep for his lunches (I keep the prunes and
sometimes raising or dole fruit cups for him because he gets sick of the
fruits and veggies that I keep around for me)

I understand. It's a double whammy. The outside issues that you are
dealing with are exacerbating the food issues that you would like to get
a handle on. For me, since I have more direct control of the food
issues I try to focus there but that's not always easy.
Hang in there!
