i've read that skipping meals is not helpful in dieting. also it can
cause stomach ulcer.

i never eat breakfast. i'm simply not hungry in the morning. no
appetite. that's the only reason. i don't need to lose weight.
so is it still bad to not eat breakfast? shall i "force" myself to eat
something in the morning?

If skipping breakfast makes you overeat later, then you need to make
changes. If you are fine and can eat the planned amount of food while
skipping breakfast, then you are fine.

I do not know about skipping breakfast causing ulcer, so I have no
opinion on that.

I am personally always hingry for breakfast, so I always eat one. If I
am not hungry, in general, I skip the meal.

Figure this out for yourself.  Seriously, it's not all that hard an
experiment to set up.  If you have some whole fibers and some healthy
fats and some protein in the morning how do you feel?  Is it better or
worse?

I ate half of an english muffin with peanutbutter smeared on it on my
way to work in the car for something like 8 years in a row.  It suited
me.  You'll find what suits you.

Well, that doesn't seem to concern you, since you say you don't need to lose
weight. So, you're not obese, you never were, and you seem to maintain your
current weight. I would tend to think you're as qualified as everyone else
here...
If your current scheme works for you, why try to change it and potentially
*gain* weight?

> also it can cause stomach ulcer.

I doubt that. French people (and Italian, and Spanish) had almost no
breakfast for ages, then we get converted to cereals. I'm not aware that
stomach ulcers have decreased. On the other end, obesity has increased. Many
countries feature a small breakfast, mostly because they eat a large and
late dinner, they don't seem to fare worse than the rest.
It's not like you're attempting to fast or starve yourself. You're just
eating a few hours later than usual.

That's probably because you don't *need* to eat then. ;) You have no weight
problem, you're not hungry, that's your body telling you it still has enough
from your dinner to keep going. Do you have diner late? Do you eat larger
diners? If so, that's probably why you're not hungry. Just like many people
in countries from Southern Europe...
Do you eat later in the morning then? Or do you wait until lunch? Unless you
eat really terrifying things, that's not a problem either. There is no rule
telling that you must have breakfast right after you're out of bed rather
than two hours later.

Then, consider yourself blessed, and try to stay this way. ;) If it ain't
broken, don't fix it...

> so is it still bad to not eat breakfast?

Until you hold shares in the cereal industry, I don't think you *need* a
breakfast, unless you happen to be hungry at that time of the day.

> shall i "force" myself to eat something in the morning?

No. If you force yourself, you will be eating more calories than you need.
If you have a really good self regulation, you will eat less at lunch, and
remain at a stable weight. If your regulation is not that good, you eat the
same lunch as usual and gain weight.
If for some reason you eat less at diner (not that you should force yourself
to eat less, nothing wrong with having a good diner if it fits you), you
should feel hungrier in the morning. In that case, have breakfast that day.
I consider breakfast an on demand meal. That's where I seem to adjust for
the past day. If I ate too much, I will eat a soy yogourt or something easy
on the stomach and be done with it. If I didn't eat much, I will be hungry
enough for bread&butter on top of the yogourt, and, if I'm really starving,
a fruit.
