I'm still eating 400 calories per meal and six to seven meals per day.
Two changes - one I think you'll get a kick out of - my afternoon
meal is now 3.75 oz herring and 3 oz vodka + one can v8 juice. For
men, I'm convinced that two drinks (3 oz hard liquor) a day is best -
higher hdl, lower blood sugar. For women one drink a day is best.
The other change is I'm trying to wait until I'm quite hungry before
eating. Not only does that make the food taste better but I found
that my blood glucose level peaked at a lower level. I don't have
diabetes but have insulin resistance. Now - if I could only subtract
one meal a day (without starving) I think I might finally reach my
goals. Finally, I've decided to exercise harder - but somewhat less
time. Quality, not quantity. A slogan at my gym, "pain is the
feeling of weakness leaving the body."
Hopefully these changes will result in you reaching your goals. It always
amazes me how well you've been able to stick to and fine tune your woe.
Congrats - I don't think I could have done it myself.

Thanks Beverly. Hopefully I'll be able to cut one of my 400 calorie
meals out per day by waiting til I quite hungry. I'm very flexible
about mealtimes since I "cook" for myself - my only fixed mealtime is
lunch.
