Just thought folks would like to know!
As planned, we married on October 29th.. meant to post that day, but
didn't have the time.
I did achieve a small goal of being at 235 or below for my wedding...
I woke up and weighed at 234.0. Probably because I was somewhat
dehydrated... today I am at 234.5 again.
It all turned out lovely and we had a WHITE WEDDING, with a record
snowfall for the date of 4.9 inches.
I'm not used to going about in snow though! I guess I'll learn, but
it's slippery and I am scared I will fall or turn an ankle. Or break
something. Nearly turned an ankle when my foot slid just getting into
the car.
I need heavier clothes too!
But George and I had a great time and it was really fun. We did have a
real wedding cake, but only ate one piece each, saved two pieces for
later and brought the rest over to the National Weather Service office
so his co-workers could have some.

As a note, not all people gain weight after marraige. I weighed 280 when I
got married and am currently at 234...

I agree. I weighed about 200 when I married and am now 176.
Nevertheless my suggestion still stands. Lots of people "diet to lose
weight for the wedding" and then forget about dieting.

If you can call it dieting... Truth is, this is just becoming the way
I eat, and when I eat healthy, I eat well. It's not like I'm suffering
or going hungry or anything.
And I look forward to walking again, though right now, with the
sidewalks icy, I may skip. I need to get over to my gym for an
orientation session, couldn't manage it before the wedding, too much
to do. But after this weekend, it's possible again.

It's not likely... I didn't do it for the wedding. Actually, I wasn't
even trying too hard, just eating better and being more active. So it
was a bonus that I've been doing so well so far.

Congratulations to you and George!
I'm glad the snow is in your area. We're having beautiful weather here for
the last of October. It's in the high 70's today.

I think it got into the minus temperatures briefly last night!
When I was out running errands in the afternoon/evening, returning
stuff to Wal-Mart that I didn't use for the wedding or for visiting
family, it was at first 18 degrees. Then it dropped to 14 degrees.
This is going to take some getting used to. And heavier clothing than
what I have now.

You've got it worse than we do. Our snow and ice are still disappearing
pretty quickly after coming down. Get some ice spikes for your shoes :)

Plan to. I'm scared as it is I'll slip and break something. Or sprain
an ankle. I'm not at all good on uneven terrain with my ankles.

Maybe later. The family did take pictures, but until my computer is up
again, won't be working on putting up a site.

Thanks everyone! It was special and is special. It takes some getting
used to! New name, husband instead of fiancee, all that stuff. I guess
I'll be having to go change my name on various accounts soon.
