I've been home for a few weeks, in that time about 10 pounds or so has come
off. Today, putting on my pants they felt a little looser. I was wanting
to be one hole down on my belt, I'm not.

Don't let that notch on the belt get you down. Those 10lbs are fantastic!

Don't let it get you down. There are so many challenges in changing a
lifetimes worth of habits that even the smallest improvement is an
amazing thing. 10 lbs is nothing to sneeze at, when I feel this same way
I try to visualize (literally) 10(or whatever # it is for me) lbs of
gross jelly like yellow-ish FAT that I know is no longer under my skin.
I know.. gross. But it works for me in amazing myself with my "small"
accomplishment. Picture it sitting in a pile on your desk or in the
garbage can. It makes you realize what a phenomenal thing you have done
for your body.
Disgusting I know lol..
Susan(picturing in her mind right now a quivering mound of FAT in a
washtub that equals 50 lbs that she has lost lol)

This is what impresses me most about you. Keep working at it, it gets
easier. I quit in March....

10lbs won't all come off in the waist. It will come off from all
over. So, don't get down on yourself because you aren't ready to
losen the belt 1 notch yet. You are losing weight, and your clothes
do feel looser. That alone is an accomplishment

That is an excellent point! You are doing great and you will be buying new
belts before you know it.

Thanks for the kind comment.
I already had to buy one, the belt I use for my suits, it sits higher on my
waist. My stomach has certainly gotten smaller, I notice a difference
there. That actually is where I carry most of my weight.

It was a small depression, I was over it by lunch. I was just wishing. I
can not wait until that wish comes true.

It will come true if you stick with it. One of the pitfalls can be
impatience for quick results. I know, I suffer from it too. It will
take time but if you keep on with your WOE you'll get there.

Unfortunately, at 305 you're not going to see a big difference in a 10 lb
loss. Don't give up though - it all adds up.
One other thing - I'd strongly advise against posting my full real name on a
usenet group.

I'm definately not going to give up. I'm feeling better, and truthfully -
that is the most important thing.

Actually, you can definitely feel better after going on a diet because
you no longer suffer from consequences of overeating. Many things
(blood lipids etc) improve as soon as you start having calorie deficit
and losing weight.

I know exactly how you feel. I always ask myself how much worse I would
have felt had I put on the ten pounds..... It doesn't seem so trivial then.
