Surprise!  I made turkey meatloaf and everyone ate it!  My previously
mentioned son who never eats his protein,  asked for seconds.  I nearly fell
out of my chair.  My husband picked clean the rack I used for cooking.
Usually, I have meatloaf left over for sandwiches ( it's not a real popular
dish in my house) but it is ALL GONE.  I think the key was the all breast
meat ground meat, which I think is definitely milder.  Thanks Chris for the
idea...I didn't even know it existed.  I put Frajita seasoning it it ( the
jar spice for rubbing on meat, not the envelope stuff that you use with
water), plenty of onion, teeny bit of ketchup and fresh breadcrumbs, 2 eggs.
(One tip I have adopted from a certain someone's magazine that makes even
the best housekeeper feel like he/she isn't quite up to par, is to use fresh
breadcrumbs instead of dried.  It really makes a difference!).

I ate a little more than plan yesterday, but I had a horribly hungry day.
Not only did my day start extraordinarily early, was just plain hungry.
Also, since food means love in my universe, I guess my impulse was to pamper
myself since I felt so lousy.  I had a little more fruit than I should have
as an extra snack before dinner.  My chest cold is so nasty, I just wanted
to crawl into bed and read, but I had to put a coat of paint on the living
room (I used to be just the "trim guy" but this time through I am the "wall
guy" and the "trim guy".  I've discovered trim painting is much easier! I
skipped exercise yesterday, even though one of the trainers swore to me that
cardio would help break up my chest conjestion.  I just sort of filed that
under advice I will take when I am feeling more insane.  It just didn't seem
like an attractive thing - getting on a eliptical with an already aching
chest and propensity to cough every 30 seconds.

Anyway, thanks for all the turkey advice.  I feel like I have a great
tasting food now in my low fat/easy to prepare arsenal.  Elise( who is
worrying about her comma use disability since the discussion on grammar by
grammar experts).

Our lives seem to be very similar at the moment.  I've been suffering from
sinus infection/allergies for the past couple of weeks and trying to paint
a rental unit.  Maybe we could strike up some type of deal as I hate doing
trim :)

I have to agree that certain exercises should be avoided when you're sick.
I had to skip Curves for a couple of weeks.  My sinuses were so infected it
hurt to blink my eyes so I didn't feel like moving too much.  Besides I
couldn't stop sneezing and wiping the nose long enough to do much of
anything else.

Hope you're feeling better.

I made it last night too!  And I love it...  I hate regular meatloaf.  The
only difference in my recipe is that I add a container of feta cheese (I
think it's 6 or 8 oz).  The feta adds calories, but I love the flavor.
