Food:

9:00 (home): 3/4 cup Hi-Lo cereal, 16g whey protein, 3/4 cup skim milk

12:00 (work, brought from home): sandwich w/ 80g Healthy Choice smoked
turkey breast, 2 slices f/f cheese, 2 slices whole wheat bread

3:00 (work, brought from home): 1/2 banana (It was a little more ripe
than I like, so I tossed the other half.)

5:00 (gym): 16 oz. orange juice; 1 cookie that Ahmed gave me

8:30 (home) 190g leftover meatloaf w/ 3 slices melted f/f cheese &
ketchup

11:30 (home): 1 cup f/f cottage cheese w/ 3 tbsp reduced sugar orange
marmalade

Totals: 1445 calories, 26g fat (16%), 146g carbs (40%), 157g protein
(44%)

5:30 p.m. -- Exercise:

Shoulder warmups (including a bunch of overhead squats and drop
snatches w/ broomstick)

Snatch high pulls: 3x4x30kg/66lbs; 3x4x35/77

Sets of 1 snatch high pull and 1 classic snatch: 5 at 20/44; 2 at
22.5/49.5 (I get a good pull and drop under, but need Ahmed to help
stabilize the bar before I can stand back up.  My shoulder isn't
stable yet in the bottom position.  I'm newly back to doing these.)

Tried to do jerks from behind the head, but only did about 3 tries
because it hurt my shoulder.

Front squats: 1x3x30/66; 1x3x40/88; 1x3x50/110; 3x1x60/132

Back hyperextensions (no added weight): 2x15

Crunches on decline bench (touching Ahmed's hand that he holds in
different places above me): 1x15 unweighted; 2x15 holding 8 lb.
medicine ball in outstretched arms

Skipped cardio -- sat in jacuzzi instead.  (I've been feeling a bit
unwell and tired.)

Do cookies have less calories if your trainer gives them to you?  (Sort of
like the well-known loophole that cookie crumbs have no calories?)  :-)

I hope you're feeling better!  I almost laughed when I got to this line,
though.  Your version of doing a light workout is MOST people's version of
an intense one.  :-)

That would be nice, but no :-).  However, he's hard to turn down.  I
think feeding people is sort of a cultural thing with him.  He needs
to eat at 5:00 because he's breaking his Ramadan fast, but it really
bothers him to have someone sitting with him when he's eating if they
won't take anything.  Anyway, I tend to not eat enough calories before
I go to the gym, so I figured I could use some.

Well, it's all relative :-).
