Went out to dinner with DH tonight and ate rather too much, so
calories are high for the day, and a bit high for the week. And we're
planning on going to an Indian buffet after the gym tomorrow, so that
will be a large meal too. But directly after that I head out for a
week in Atlantic City (suburbs) for business, and hope to eat lightly
on the trip. My hotel room is supposed to have a refrigerator and
microwave, and I'm taking my George Foreman Grill and egg cooker (I'm
driving, so it's easy), so should be able to prepare my own lunches to
take in with me and dinners in my room. I prefer this rather than
going out all the time, even apart from the healthy eating aspect, as
it gives me more free time. And, while I like the folks I'll be with,
I'll see plenty of them during the work days :-). Anyway, for today:
Food:
* 7:45 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese
* 9:45 (home): 2 bite-sized chocolates
* 12:30 (home): 30g Flax Plus granola, 30g All Bran, 22g whey protein,
1 cup skim milk
* 2:30 (home): 1 bite-sized chocolate
* 6:30 (restaurant w/ DH): 8 oz. wine; 1/2 fried calamari appetizer;
1/2 shrimp appetizer (breaded and in a spicy cream sauce, but not a
large portion); house salad w/ vinaigrette; 3 oz. salmon (brought half
of it home); 2 oz. carrots; 1/4 cup mashed potatoes
Totals: 1838 calories (171 from alcohol), 79g fat (39%), 145g carbs
(31%), 115g protein (25%)
Averages for the week: 1715 calories, 31% fat, 37% carbs, 28% protein
Exercise: Just some housework.
