Although I mostly lurk, I want to say thanks to you folks who are dieting
and doing the hard work. It inspires me everyday to click on
alt.support.diet and get a new and refreshing look at my goals. This is very
great support for me. Your struggle is mine.
Thanks,
Jim

Yes, I also find inspiration here. It is very motivating to see people
who have made and maintain long-term commitments to healthy living.
As always, YMMV.

Jim,
This is a great newsgroup. It's inspiring to me too!
One thing that goes along with diet is exercise. Joining a gym is the
best "next step" to diet. They go hand in hand. The gym has become a
WOL on a daily basis. I admire everyone there, no matter what their
reason.
Diet was a non-issue to me until I nearly died last year as a result of
a poor one.
A t-shirt I read while waiting in a fast-food line proclaimed, "It's
not winning the race that matters, it's the chase!" Daily words to live
by. Not exactly the place to show off that saying though. ;)
All the best,
Andy
