Exercise = 5 times last week
So, I lost only 1.1 lbs last week, but at least I know why ;-) - I have been
getting pangs of hunger about 2 hours after lunch, and, combined with the
worst PMS ever (lots of headaches) and bad weather (so I couldn't get out of
the house and away from the fridge!), I've been eating things not kosher for
my woe - like sandwiches or whole wheat crackers, even DD's biscotti - i.e.,
lots of carbs. The crisis seems to be over now, but it lasted for 4 days.
Finally, on the 5th day, I got tired of looking in the fridge what and
decided - if I *have* to eat, I won't eat anything else but lunch leftovers
(which are OK for my WOE). It finally came to my head that I spent all this
time preparing a healthy lunch and I still had some left but I turned to
"bad" food anyway - and how ironic that was. Once I had an honest
conversation with myself about it, the crisis was over. I hope it doesn't
return the next time I have PMS!
The thing that also helped me overcome the disappointment and feeling guilty
is that I 2 pairs of pants I haven't worn for 2 years fit. It's exciting to
be able to fit into the old clothes - it somehow feels new, especially after
not being able to wear it for a long time, IYKWIM!
So, I'm having positive thoughs and hopes for the future!
Best wishes,
Elly

Down is still better than up :)

PMS is an instant appetite increase for me too. I can sometimes get through
it by just increasing the size of my meals or the frequency of eating
through the day but there are those times when the specific cravings are
hard to beat. It's a really good time to drink more water, BION, because it
can help with the puffy water retention feelings.

Positive thinking leads to positive action which will help you succeed in
the long run!
