Review:
I've finally gotten a handle on the eating side of things and have gotten
past that struggle stage of craving or feeling deprived of food. Things
have settled in nicely.
I suffered from a bad migraine last week that left me with dizzy spells and
nausea for most of the week. I worked alot of over time and had to deal
with alot of work stress. I did not workout at all during last week. Even
my hopes of long biking sessions on the weekend did not pan out. But,
with the week off, I still managed the 2lb loss. Although in the BF%
calcs, it appears the loss was in the form of muscle. <shrug> (FWIW)
Went back to the gym last night for the first time in 1.5 weeks. UGH! I
had to dramatically drop the weight on the leg press and I'm feeling a bit
of DOMS this afternoon. During cardio I noticed my heart rate shot up
pretty high and stayed there, so I did not recover as well as I had been.
Amazing what 1 week off can do.

Thanks,
Right now I'm back to the weight I was in November when I first started to
make attempts at losing again. Generally, I'm currently at the upper range
of my "comfort zone". Another 10lbs and I'll be set.

Sounds like you're really on track now, Jayjay.
I've noticed that when I'm away from the gym my cardio fitness tends
to drop off quickly -- much more so than muscle strength -- but it
also returns quickly. You'll be back to normal before you know it.

Glad to see you're getting back in the swing of things. I think many of us
will have an easier time when spring finally arrives and we're able to get
outdoors more often. I know I certainly will find it easier to exercise.

we've already got wonderful spring weather - I'm just waiting for the time
change so I can ride in the evenings again.

It's that time of year around here when the weather is *really*
unpredictable. The sun has been shining all day and it's been snowing like
crazy. No accumulation but it's still cold. Of course this month isn't too
different than most. In December we had 22+ inches of snow followed by
rains that caused major flooding and temperatures ranging from 60F down
to -4F.
I enjoyed some of your spring weather the last of February for a few days<g>

These are great improvements, JayJay! My scale is not budging though I do
feel some slight changes in my body. We'll see what happened this month when
I get my numbers checked on Friday. I think you did great on Week 3! Glad
it's not such a struggle now -- just putting the time in helps make it
easier, I think.
