Hi
I am trying to find a formula which will indicate the number of calories
burned from a particular exercise.
I presume that this may factor in bodyweight and other such details (??)
Does anything like this exist??
If there were a list of exercises, and the calories for each exercise, that
would be very useful
Any help appreciated
Thanks

If you are referring to weight training, such 'calorie charts' would be
idiotic (no offence intended). There are too many factors to consider, e.g.
weight of the person, weight of the machine, the way in which an exercise
is carried out, the weight resistance, the person's effort which is
practically put in, metabolism, etc.
Oh, and by the way, these 'burned calories' counters on cardio-vascular
equipment -- that's bull too. But people like it. Nothing else to do...
Do the exercise without worrying about the arithmetic. There are plenty of
more pleasant things to ponder as you go.

Various training equipment such as rowing ergs, stationary bikes and
treadmills can calculate energy expended by modeling the physics of the
device quite accurately. The unit of measure of energy input by the
user can be expressed in kCals, watts, joules, etc. This expressed
value is not what the actual user is expending for the total effort
where the erg input is a majority of the work performed since many body
motions such as breathing will not be included in the erg's
calculations.

Burning calories from weight lifting cannot be calculated
because you continue to burn calories for 2 days after
the workout.
