Took the day off from work.  Went to the gym in the late morning, and
had lunch in the cafe there with Elise after doing some lifting.  (I
skipped cardio in favor of lunch :-) .)  Then I went to my hairdresser
and spent a couple of hours getting a cut and highlights.  Then I
bought a few groceries and came home.  DH and I are about to watch a
movie (Mona Lisa Smile) that we recorded on TiVo.

Food:

* 8:15 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese
* 11:30 (during workout): 1 bottle Power Ade; 1/2 protein bar
* 1:00 (gym cafe): sandwich w/ 2-egg equivalent in Egg Beaters, 1 oz.
cheddar cheese, 2 oz. turkey, and lettuce in whole wheat wrap
* 5:00 (after hairdresser): other half of protein bar
* 8:00 (home): 161g pork tenderloin; 1/4 cup (uncooked measure)
quinoa; 155g sauteed squash; 2 bite-sized chocolates

Totals: 1591 calories, 41g fat (23%), 169g carbs (43%), 134g protein
(34%)

Exercise:

11:15 -- Olympic lifting:

* Shoulder warmups
* With 8-lb. aerobics bar: 10 overhead squats followed by 5 drop
snatches
* Power snatch: 1x5x15kg/33lbs; 1x3x17.5/38.5; 1x3x20/44;
2x3x22.5/49.5; 7x1x25/55 (mostly only marginal, so I kept at it a bit,
but wasn't too satisfied)
* Power clean & power jerk: 1x2x25/55; 1x2x30/66; 2x2x32.5/71.5
* Front squats: 1x5x20/44; 1x5x30/66; 3x2x40/88
* 3 almost-chinups -- just playing with it since I discovered I could
do this

Now this sounds like a nice relaxing day.  I have to ask - what color
highlights and do you like it?  I hope everything is going well for
Elise.

I told my boss that once I finish the Sarbanes/Oxley project I'm taking
a few days off to be sick<g>  I've been suffering through one of the
worst bouts of sinus infection but still dragging myself to work each
day. Some key systems were scheduled to be done early (end-of-month) as
examples for other systems.  Guess who got stuck with two of these
systems.  Oh well, I'm out of there for a week of vacation in April.
It just can't come soon enough.

My hair is naturally a sort of light brown with a little blond in it,
and I have some lighter blond highlights and darker lowlights --
pretty subtle, but I like it.

Elise is doing well and is losing weight really well right now.

Sometimes we need a break, whether planned sick time or vacation :-).
Your April trip sounds great!  It does look like I'll be in Dayton
then -- will let you know if I'm coming in Sunday.
