I've actually found sticking to my nutritionist's eating plan easier as time
goes on.  I am still having trouble timing the eating and tend to go too
long without eating, but at least I do get a small meal in six times a day.
I've not lost anything this week, but I have been holding water (I can
always tell by the way my weightlifting shoes fit....if the straps barely
fasten I know my feet are puffier than usual).  But, I have also not been
drinking the water I should as I have been doing so much running around with
our house semi-renovation work that I just don't fit in the drinking (not a
fan of public restrooms).  One thing that has helped me is I've decided that
if I am too hungry preparing dinner, I will just sit down and eat my dinner,
cobbled together using the shares of each food type Karen has allotted
me,( I think Chris gave me this idea one day and I just recently started
doing it) and then feed the kids when theirs is finished (my husband usually
works through dinner so I really am not messing with the family meal too
much).  Such a simple thing has really helped me get through that witching
hour of 5:30 - 6:30 or so when I am cooking.  One funny thing tonight was I
made the turkey meatloaf.  They knew it was turkey meat, but I had laid
turkey bacon on top so the top looked browner.  I didn't tell them it was
lowfat turkey bacon.  They all insisted on their one piece and then fought
over the 4th.  I know they would have turned up their noses at it had I told
them what it was.  Elise.PS I bought microwave popcorn today (lowfat of
course).

Congrats!  You'll find it easier and easier to stick to the eating plan as
you continue.  I always had a rough time right after lunch at work and was
heading for the cafeteria popcorn:(  I've changed the route I use to leave
the cafeteria and don't pass the popcorn machine and I've started taking a
piece of fruit to satisfy those after lunch munchies.  It was more of a
habit as I know I wasn't hungry.

I think it's great you've been able to get the kids to eat healthier.  I'm
one of those "what they don't know won't hurt them" people.  My kids always
turned their nose up at ground turkey but they ate plenty of it in chili,
casseroles, etc.  They also thought they needed whole or 2% milk.  I use to
mix half skim into their jug labeled 2% and they never knew the difference.

Hope you get the renovation done soon.

Thanks!....down 2 lbs today!  Plus, I heard from the bar guy, and our bar
will be ordered from York today and shipped directly to the gym. I think
I'll get some pink ribbon to tie on it and just keep it in my gym bag for
when it arrives.  Elise
