Size 16 (kinda sorta)

Well, I thought I would have to lose even more weight to fit into this size.
However, I am able to (barely) squeeze into size 16 jeans now.  I bought 3
different brands, and I can put all of them on.... so I know it isn't
because just one brand is cut bigger.  The 18's are a little big and the
16's are a little small...  But I am going to squeeze my fat a.s into them
and wear them anyway.  It gives me a boost, as I haven't worn this size in
years!  I started to cry as I got the zipper up, I was so happy.  The tough
part is that my thighs are proportionately smaller then my waist.
Therefore, the thighs fit perfect but it is the waist that is snug.  I am
hoping that they stretch a bit as I wear them, as most jeans do.

Due to the 4-5x a week work-outs at 24 hour fitness and personal trainer,
I've lost 10 lbs of fat these past 2 weeks and gained 4 lbs of muscle (total
loss 6 lbs according to Tanita).

I am also going to go on a semi re-feed in 2 weeks and stay on that re-feed
until I hit my goal of 170-180.  The re-feed will consist of about 800-1000
(up from 550-750) calories and will incorporate some more protein, grains
and dairy into my daily food allotment.  I will still work with the
dietician and my endo to make sure that I am remaining healthy and
accountable.

Congrats PG!  Are you still going to be using the shakes at all?

Jenn

Yep... 5 shakes/soup a day and 1-2 cups of low carb veggies a day.  There
are some days that I don't eat any veggies...

Anyway, the mild re-feed will include 3 shakes/soup a day, 2 servings of
veggies, 1 serving of fruit, 4 oz of meat/protein, 1 serving of bread/grains
and 1 serving of dairy.

For instance:
Breakfast, 1 cup of low fat plain yogurt and berries
mid morning - shake/soup
lunch, chef salad with 2 oz of lean meat
mid afternoon - shake/soup
dinner - 2 eggs, 1 piece of whole grain toast
2 hours before bed - shake

I plan on eating this way until I reach goal.  Due to my activity level, I
want the extra calories to help me build more muscle.

You'll find as time goes on and you become more fit that you'll be able to
(and need to) increase your calories and add a fat serving or two to the
equation.

You're right, that is where I am now to a lesser degree.  I will still be on
a very low calorie diet, just not as low as it currently is!  I am looking
at the menu ideas with such anticipation.  I had no idea how much I would
look forward to eating an egg or a piece of cheese or a piece of toast.  I
have spent too much time, energy and money to get to the point I am at now.
I will not let myself go overboard and gain weight.

Congrats on the new size!  I also have the small hip/thighs and thick waist
build.  I use to love the Lee jeans with the small elastic insert at the
waist.  I recently bought a couple pair of stretch jeans and find they fit
even better.  I've also found the jeans that fit just below the waist are
usually a good choice for those of us with no waist.

Hi Beverly....

My problem is that I used to be very overweight and have alot of extra
skin/fat around my abdomen.  I have a waist, but my stomach hangs a little
bit.  As I've lost weight, it has gotten much better, but it still sags.
Its the sagging skin/fat that is making the jeans tight.  I also have pretty
wide hips (birthing hips I'm told).  I usually buy stretch jeans and they
help some.  However, but the end of the day, the legs stretch out and look
way too big on me.

I'll try the low-rise jeans that you mention in your post and let you know!!

Hi PG, I'm in the 16 jeans only in Levi. The others are all 14 plus
dress pants. I can't figure what your weight now is? Is it the 199? I
guess I'm nosy ,not, but yo are near my size I THINK:)I'm 187 and I
carry weight in BOTH the hips plus legs. I'm a 10-12  top (Med.) and it
makes life a bit tough.  Anyways, you have a big congrats from me!!!!!!!

Hey Gloria,

I currently weigh 226.  284 is my start weight.  199 is a mini-goal weight
and 170-180 is my ultimate goal weight.  I am tall with a long torso, so I
can squeeze into smaller sizes at my weight.  And, thank you very much!
