A bit of an unusual day. DH and I went to the gym fairly early in the
morning in order to go out for an early lunch afterward with Tom, our
ex-trainer and sort of surrogate son, who moved away last winter but
was in town on business. For logistics reasons not worth explaining,
I ended up doing a kind of strange and abbreviated workout. We then
went to the IHOP (International House of Pancakes), where I ate far
too much sweet and carby stuff. I ate little this evening, though --
wasn't really very hungry -- and we are having a splurge dinner
tomorrow night.
Food:
* 7:15 (home): ready-to-drink chocolate protein shake
* 10:15 (IHOP): half of a 3-egg Swiss cheese omelet (couldn't eat it
all); 3 "harvest grain & nut" pancakes w/ 1 pat butter & 2 oz.
blueberry syrup
* 5:30 (home): several dill pickle slices
* 7:45 (home): 130g grilled chicken breast w/ mustard; 1 small peach
(something called a "donut peach" that I'd never had before -- very
tasty)
Exercise:
8:45 a.m. -- cardio + a little lifting
* treadmill: 25 minutes walking on hill program, difficulty level 10,
3.0 mph (a bit over 1 mile)
* treadmill: 1 mile running on hill program, difficulty level 4, 5.0
mph (12 minutes)
* DB chest press on Swiss ball: 3x10x25s
* DB flyes on Swiss ball: 2x10x25s
* DB shoulder press on Swiss ball, alternating arms: 1x10 (each
side)x15s
