Hi guys,
Our family just got back from vacation and I was really dreading getting on
the scales when we got back.
I ate what ever the rest ate, but found myself automaticly cutting back on
portions because I got full sooner than I used to do. Never the less, I
had three pieces of pizza one night and was sure I probably gained ten
pounds or so over the week of vacation.
My weight had been stuck for several days at 165 before we left and I was
sure it would be at least 175 when we got back since I hadn't done much in
the way of exercise except for walking.
Well I got my courage up this morning and got weighed and it said 161
instead of gaining, I had lost.
I still have a long ways to go, but at least it keeps coming off, be it very
slowly.
By the way, I would like to recommend a wonderful, relaxing and very
pleasant way to travel, if you can spare the time. That is to take the Auto
Train between Sanford Florida and Lorton, Virginia. And if you don't mind
sleeping in recliner type chairs, go coach. There were seven of us in our
family, two little kids, and five adults and we all loved it. The coach
experience is wonderful since people tend to walk around and mix more and
the kids, one nine and one thirteen, made wonderful friends and the movies
were great. The kids didn't really want to take the train trip at first,
but after it was over, wanted to do it again next year, in spite of the fact
that coming back we were delayed eleven hours. The service was wonderful
and so was the food, included in your ticket and the movies were current.
Much like a cruise.
Hugs to all, Sandy

Congratulations on the vacation weight loss, Sandy! I've had similar
experiences on occasion -- never been sure why, but it's a nice
surprise!
Do you live in Virginia? Lorton isn't far from me at all; I'm in
Haymarket.
