Hi folks. I just wanted to say hi. I've been doing the Atkins for the
last few weeks,
and am doing pretty well. I love reading this site ... lots of good
info, and you
seem like a nice bunch. I have been checking my keto stix and FINALLY today
it turned purple! I've been checking it around 11 AM most days, but
today I
waited until 3 PM and, yippeee, it was purple. Anyway, I hope you all
have a good
day.

Very good Cindy, keep going, and do not be afraid to change your diet
if it does not work well. And I hope that your approach does work well
in the long run.

Welcome! I'm glad that you found a WOE that works for you.
Hey, I have been meaning to post about something that I heard on the
radio earlier this week. I was driving to an agility trial on Saturday
and People's Pharmacy came on (this show -
http://www.healthcentral.com/peoplespharmacy/pharmfulltext.cfm?ID=60694&storytyp
e=PP_Programs).
The guest was Michael Dansinger of Tufts -- he did that recently
publicized study comparing diet programs
(http://www.ljworld.com/section/health/storypr/151484). Anyway, he said
a few interesting things. Firstly, he said that he had personally tried
each program. He did not feel that he could ask volunteers to try a
diet program for a year if he hadn't tried it himself. Secondly, he
said that for maintenance, if one plan starts to bore you or you start
to slip or whatever, try one of the other plans. I thought that was an
interesting observation. It seems like something that should be obvious
but for me it put a new light on things. Anyway, I hope that someone
else finds it interesting or useful.
Again, welcome to the group.
