A long day today -- had to be in DC by 7:00 a.m. for a workshop I was
chairing, so left the house at 5:00.  And I got home around 7:00 p.m.
No exercise today.  A tad bit more food than usual, mostly because DH
made a big dinner -- lots of steak.  But I didn't eat much in the way
of meeting goodies, even though I'd ordered them :-).  I did have one
bit of the lunchtime cheesecake -- my favorite dessert, in general.
(That's all I took on my plate.  If I'd taken a whole piece I'd have
eaten it.)  And I passed up all the morning pastries in favor of a
bagel, and all the afternoon cookies and brownies and chips and
cracker jacks.  (I was wishing they'd had something for the afternoon
snack that I felt like eating, though, as I was pretty hungry by the
time I got home.)

Food:

5:30 (driving downtown): energy bar

8:00 (meeting food): 1/2 bagel w/ 1/2 oz. cream cheese

10:00 (meeting food): other 1/2 bagel w/ 1/2 oz. cream cheese

12:00 (meeting food): 1 cup minestrone soup; 3 oz. smoked turkey
breast; 1/2 oz. swiss cheese; 2 bites chicken salad; a little tossed
salad w/ 1 tbsp ranch dressing; a little tomato & fresh mozzarella
salad; 1 cup fresh fruit; 1 bite cheesecake

7:00 (home): 7.5 oz. sirloin steak; 1/2 sweet potato; 1/2 cup
cauliflower; 5 3/8 oz. wine

Totals:  1636 calories (115 from wine), 52g fat (29%), 141g carbs
(34%), 122g protein (30%)

Exercise: None to speak of.

I think it's great you were able to pass up all the afternoon snacks.  I
hate being trapped in a meeting where I'm hungry and they're serving junk
food.  It's that time of year at work when all the goodies start appearing
on the secretaries desks and in our conveinence centers.  So far I've been
able to bypass the cookies, fudge, etc.  I've been sticking to my fruit or
mini-bags of microwave popcorn.  I'm hoping to make it through the holidays
without gaining any weight this year.
