I have 2 bottles of ephedrine, unopened, branded "pumpuii canada", 8
mg of ephedrine in each pill, 300 pills per bottle. I bought this
stuff in the beginning of my dieting, but never used it as I was
concerned with side effects and losing weight the natural way worked
fine with me.

I already lost weight (223/177/180). I do not need these pills.

The price is $20 plus UPS ground shipping (4lbs).

UNLESS THERE IS A FIRM BUYER TONIGHT, the bottles will be thrown into
trash tomorrow.

Warning, I am selling these pills as is, there is no guarantee that
they will make you lose weight. Check with your doctor. I judged
ephedrine as not safe enough for me and did not take it. I am not
representing it as a good diet aid, either.

No sales to Illinois residents.

I am an ebay seller and in my seller only account I have feedback of
230, all positives. I mostly sell military surplus electronics and
equipment.

I also have a separate buyer account.

So yes, I have heard of ebay.

Ephedrine cannot be sold on ebay.

Exactly!

And you got that, as well. So far, so good.

Maybe. But just in case someone wants ephedrine, I have it for sale,
and yes, I consider it potentially dangerous.

People sell guns as well, and guns are quite dangerous.

Are you telling me that I should not sell any dangerous things?

Cars are dangerous.

more people die in automobile accidents each year than those who die
from ephedra related deaths.   Does that mean we shouldn't sell cars?

It doesn't matter whether it's dangerous or not.  It doesn't matter
whether it's relevant to the group topic or not.   It is against asdlc
charter to advertise here.  Period.

Because some people believe that the rules do not apply to them. they don't
acknowledge rules. It takes all kinds....

not in a support group setting, I would think many people of polite society
would consider that in bad taste.

So, if I posted a "gun for sale" ad in a gun newsgroup, you think that
most people in a polite society consider it bad taste?

You are surprising me Lorelei.

Many doctors refuse to recommend low carb diets. Maybe that means low carb
diets are dangerous too.

I make it a point not to make health and nutrition decisions based on ebay's
corporate policy.

Sorry, being in another country I don't know what your trash
arrangements are (funny how we never used this expression here at all
until computers introduced American speak to us - we still call what
we throw out IRL "rubbish").  I would be horrified at the thought of
throwing a lot of pills in the rubbish, in case children or animals
should get hold of them.  I would never throw drugs out like this, but
flush them down the toilet or return them to the pharmacy for safe
disposal.  Are we unusual here in doing that?

The way we dispose of trash here is as follows.

There is recyclable trash -- paper, bottles, cans etc. This is put in
plastic crates with open top. Animals are not interested in those
because they know there is no food in there.

Then there is non-recyclable trash -- mostly food leftovers. This is
what animals are after. These we keep in a cart with a lid. Raccoons
used to be able to turn it over and roam in the trash. My first
reaction was to pour kerosene or diesel fuel on that trash to ward
them off. It worked but was cumbersome. These days, I just make sure
that animals cannot overturn it.

Also, since we now own 2 egg laying hens, we give most food leftovers
to the chickens. So all in all, animals roaming in our trash are not
the issue.

Kids sifting through the trash is not an issue either. Trash is picked
up at curbside near out house.

Don't they have laws in your area about the dispoal of hazardous materials
such as the kerosene and diesel fuel?  It's against the law around here to
put these types of materials in your trash.  The trash goes to landfills,
etc and it's considered pollution to dump these types of material in it.
Oil, gas, paint, etc must be taken to a hazardous materials handling center.
If your trash is collected in one of the contained trash trucks I would
think this would be a hazard to the men working on them.  It certainly could
result in a fire, etc.

Well, the amount of kerosene is small, maybe half a cup at most.

And such trash is a hazardous material, people dispose all kinds of
aerosoles etc. So all landfills are insulated from neighboring
soil. Obviously, if I tried to dump a barrel of kerosene into the
landfill, it would be a different story.

As for the laws etc, I have no idea what the laws are regarding that
issue and you could very well be corrcect.

All trash burns. Diesel fuel is no more burnable than, say, vegetable
oil, even though it may come as a surprise to some.

Something that truly amused me up here in North Dakota... they don't
seem to be too picky about what you put in the huge bins here, but
they do want it in bags.

One thing you can NOT throw in the trash bins is fish and fish
remains. Those have to be taken to a special place. I guess in an area
where lots of people hunt and fish, fish in the trash could get to be
a rather smelly problem.

We have to bag our yard waste in special bags here.  They take it to another
facility and use it to make mulch, etc.  Our city has a couple of weeks a
year where you can pick this stuff up for free and use it on your plants and
shrubs.

Please people we are talking about a couple bottles of ephedrine, not
anthrax. Ephedrine is no more dangerous than any other medication that past
it's date and you throw out. The reason that ephedrine got a bad name is
because it got so poplular that everybody started to use it without taking
the time to educate themselves on it. It's great for losing weight but it
speeds up your heart rate. That is not something that is good for a lot of
fat people who have heart problems because of their weight. It disgusts me
when society starts to blame some products because a few idiots who decide
they're going to be reckless with it.
