Had a weird day.  I didn't go into the office -- just did a little
work at home in the morning.  (I was way ahead on hours for the week
after preparing for and running the Wednesday workshop.  I'm at home
today too.)  Anyway, I went to Old Navy to shop and then couldn't find
my keys when I was ready to leave.  It took about 2 hours of searching
by me and a couple of employees to find them -- fallen in a crack next
to the cash register.  (Meanwhile I'd tried to call my husband to come
rescue me but hadn't found him yet.)  By the time I got out it was way
past my appointment time with Ahmed and I was pretty stressed out, so
I just went home.  Oh well....  (The only good thing about all this
was that all the pants I bought were 12's :-) .)

Food:

7:00 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese

8:30 (home): 3 mini meringue cookies (These have around 8 calories
each -- egg white and sugar.)

11:45 (home): 1 cup Hi-Lo cereal, 22g whey protein, 1 cup skim milk

3:15 (in Old Navy -- had it in my purse): energy bar

7:15 (home): 98g buffalo burger on 2 slices whole wheat toast w/ 2
slices melted f/f cheese

9:00 (home): 3 mini meringue cookies

Totals: 1286 calories, 29g fat (20%), 134g carbs (42%), 129g protein
(40%) (I intended to have a snack later but fell asleep.)

Exercise: Just lots of hunting around in Old Navy.

Firstly, glad you finally found the keys!  What a headache though!
(well, at least you found them and at least they weren't stolen but still)

How did you like these?  I've floated the idea to DH but he seems less
than enthusiastic.  He's not that fussy so I haven't pushed it.  Did you
grill them?

We like them a lot.  DH grew up in South Dakota and has eaten buffalo
for years.  It's certainly worth trying.  They're maybe a little
gamier than hamburger, but have the same sort of consistency.

We usually grill them on the Jenn-Air grill in our kitchen --
occasionally outdoors.

Is buffalo not that expensive where you are?  Here in Lubbock, it costs ~$8
for two very tiny pieces.  I guess I'm too frugal to buy it on a regular
basis although we did try it once.

This sounds dumb, but I honestly don't know (or remember, anyway) what
it costs.  I don't buy it all that frequently, but I'm not sure I've
remarked on the price too much when I have.  We usually get it either
at Trader Joe's or at a local sort of farm stand place.

Wow!  I've just had a conniption fit about my total lack of clothes.  I'm
wearing size 14 pants now and 12-14 shirts.  I'm losing fat so very, very
slowly (see my BFL recap) that I just went out and bought $300 worth of
size 14 clothes.  I'm absolutely sick to death of having nothing that
fits.  I blew past size 22, 20, 18 so fast and lingered in 16 long enough
to get some things altered but I have nothing, absolutely NOTHING in size
14.  (I haven't been a 14 since I was 18.)  I figured 14 was my stopping
place.  Now I'm struck with the thought that maybe I might get
smaller!  (You've been my trailblazer all along!)

Well, I've kind of been shopping all along the way.  My husband makes
a lot of jokes about how much all this is costing :-).  But I'm not
willing to wear clothes that are falling off me after I've
accomplished all this.  The problem is that I'm so unaccustomed to
having everything I try on look good that -- now that it does -- I
tend to buy it all :-).

I'm flattered to be a trailblazer!

I wonder if you'll change your mind about your goal once you get
closer to it.  At one time I thought my goal would be around 185, but
when I got there I could see that there was still plenty of fat to
lose.  I'm still undecided about where I want to end up.  Not skinny,
definitely, but a bit less than now if it happens.  (I doubt I will
ever be a smaller size than 10/12, given my frame size.)
