Today was the last "Bike for the Health of It" ride for the year. In spite
of the cold weather (26F) we had 43 hardy souls turn out for the 14 mile
ride. It really was a gorgeous morning for biking - lots of sunshine and
zero wind. The real lure might have been the breakfast buffet after the
ride at a nearby restaurant<g> I'm still fighting the flu but felt much
better after getting out for a ride!
Breakfast (home before ride): oatmeal, protein powder and ground flax seed.
I have never been able to ride on an empty stomach.
Breakfast (buffet around 11:00); 1 scrambled egg, 2 slices bacon, small bran
muffin and 1.5 cups mixed fruit (pineapple, cantaloupe, grapes)
Mid-afternoon (home) 1 cup grapes
Dinner (restaurant): grilled salmon, salad w/blue cheese dressing, green
beans and home-baked biscuit with 1T honey

Sounds like a fun day, Beverly. I'm glad you're feeling better!

Thanks. The fever, body ache and sore throat are gone. All that remains is
the stuffy head but I can live with that for a few days!
