Well, another Monday, another weigh day.
Two more pounds gone.....2 stone lost in 11 weeks :)
I gave most of my clothes to a local charity shop this weekend - they were
hanging off me. I've gone from a UK size 24 (is it *up* one size for the US
version or down one??) to almost nearly a UK size 18. I went shopping this
weekend for a couple of shirts to wear at work and I tried on a size 18 suit in
a "normal" shop - not a plus size shop - and it almost fit :) Woo. The average
size for women in the UK is 16, my god, I'm nearly average......

Thanks Perple! I was starting to worry that perhaps the motivation would have
waned by now - but every time the numbers go down it gets another boost. I'm
lucky so far that I haven't gained anything and even my "stalls" have only
lasted a week - I know it can only get harder as I get nearer to goal and start
to slow down. But there's no way I plan to sabotage all the work so far.

That is a good perspective to keep... I hope it works for me as well.

Congratulations! You're doing great. Doesn't it feel great to be able to
get into smaller sizes.

It's fantastic :) apart from meaning that at the moment I'm living in a very
small selection of clothes - but they say you wear 20% of your clothes 80% of
the time anyway, don't they?
I can't wait until I can go shopping for clothes anywhere - not just specialist
shops. Then the only problem I will have is my height (6'0) not my weight - and
that isn't a problem :)

Congratulations Cellach, you're doing really well.
You're certainly losing at a faster rate than I did on the Slimming
World programme. I lost 25 lbs over 20 weeks, which for me was a bit
disappointing and less than I would normally expect to lose.
I'm no longer going to classes (yes, I do remember that you were
doing it on your own, and I'm not really a class person either) and
I've been trying to go back to eating around 1500 a day, combining
this with some of the things I've learned from Slimming World, which I
still think is a healthy and sensible way of eating. I think it would
make a lovely maintenance programme so may go back to it later:)
Good news for you on the sizes - there are advantages to being tall, I
have to weigh a lot less than you to get to size 16, but I have
recently done so (some of my size 16s are getting a bit tight lately,
but I intend that to be only temporary <G>

Thanks Janice :)
I'm finding it such an easy program to follow - reflected in the results I
think. I use about a tenth of my "Sin" allowance - I'm just finding I don't
actually want/need the extra food.
The friend I borrowed some of the books from is now jealous that I've lost 2
stone and has been inspired to start again (she lost 2 1/2 stone last year then
put some back on when she stopped the WOE). So now I have company, which will
be great.
