Well, I had a great Sunday night. I went to see Slayer, one of my favorite
bands from the 80s. Going to see Slayer is like Old Metalhead Home Night. I
see people I haven't seen in the scene since last year; people move, get
involved in other things, etc. But it's great to run into people I used to
hang out with in the Old Days, so to speak.
Anyway, a few of them haven't seen me in a year and they were shocked at how
good I looked. It was a treat for me. I had a couple of beers, but not much
else, I walked all over the venue, talking to people, watching the bands, so
I burned a few calories. And today is a vacation day for me.
I also lost another pound and am now at 149 pounds. : )

I bet it was great. I saw Scorpians and White Snake at one concert and Styx
and REO at another one last year. Talk about flash backs. Geez I felt old!

It must have been the same tour! I sat in front of a woman that bought a
ticket and brought her 3 year old boy. Can you imagine? The kid was so
freaking annoying too, kept hitting my chair. Also, at that age, the loud
sound will wreck his hearing for life. All the woman did was complain about
how she didn't know people would be smoking pot because she brought her 3 yr
old.

Thanks, Jenn. It was great fun and Slayer still sounds and looks great. They
did the entire Reign in Blood album!!! The whole thing.
I lost my voice somewhere last night and can't find it anywhere. : ) Just
part of this cold, I guess. I don't feel bad, though.

Every once in a blue moon one of the old metal bands will come up and play
some bar here in the middle of nowhere. DH isn't in to it, but I have some
friends from work who say they'll make the hour drive...
It must be going around because I have no voice today either - must be all
the noise we made yesterday ;) Have a nice vacation day today Martha - I'm
off too, but it's medical. See y'all tomorrow.

Thanks!
I'm really starting to notice it now. I feel so much stronger and faster.
When I walk, my energy level is so much higher now. I've forgotten what it's
like. : )
