Is it too much muscle work

For a week now (including this week) I've been doing strenght training MWF
and Tae-Bo TT.

I've notice that taebo is a lot of muscle working as well (we're doing it
for cardio purposes).  Do any of you think that I'm not giving my muscles
sufficient amount of rest?  Saturday and Sunday are days off.

I do Tae Bo a few days a week and I've noticed considerable improvement in
the tone and definition of my thighs, glutes and obliques.  I still go to
Curves 4-6 x a week and have started pushing myself a little harder in that
workout too and don't need a day off in between.  I can do TB two days in a
row, but not three.  If I do my dumbell work (8-10 lb dumbells) I take a day
off in between or do upper body one day and lower the next.  I give my
muscles rest based on when they need it and I generally know when that is -
the workout is either more difficult because I feel less strong or I just
don't feel like doing it which isn't normal for me.

I don't have access to a trainer but I do have friends here who are very
into fitness and exercise and we sort of help each other along.  I know
enough to stop when something doesn't feel right and that's probably helped
keep major injury away, though I do have a seized hip flexor that acts up on
occasion (like the last few weeks) and that mainly restricts my range of
motion until I can get it stretched and massaged back to normal.

All in all I think it boils down to the intensity of your workout.

I'm replying to my own post to clarify - This is an OPINION because I am
definitely not an expert and was just letting you know what works for me.
Just because something works for me doesn't mean it works for others. YMMV

We have the taebo live series and we've started with the beginner.  Which is
30 minutes of fast paced tae bo.  I'm definitely sweating and winded at the
end. My strength training isn't intense, I do about 11 different exercises a
day that does a total body workout (upper body, lower body, abs).  It takes
about 45 minutes.  I do it enough to feel a burn but not enough to feel
pain.  I have a little muscle achiness (only pain is in my lower abs from
doing leg raises) but nothing that stops me.  I found taking saturday and
sunday off helped my muscles relax a bit and most of the pain went away by
Monday.

This is a sort of individual thing.  In general, I don't think you're
not doing so much that it would be harmful.  I do weight training
Monday through Friday and don't have a problem with it, and I know
lots of others who do as well.  You want to avoid strenuous heavy
lifting with the same muscle groups without a day's rest in between,
but it doesn't sound like you're doing that.  But you need to go by
how you feel.  If you're feeling sore all the time, or feeling tired,
out of sorts, and wanting to skip working out, you may be overdoing
it.  Go with your instinct :-).
