After reading Matty's Monthly Post, I thought it might be nice to here some
some things that everyone is giving thanks for this year that they feel is a
direct result ot losing weight & exercise.

I'm thankful that my blood pressure has went from 139 to 115, I'm getting
back into some different cloths, I have a increase in energy and intimacey.
Overall I am just feeling good. I was having some mood swings, my doctor said
it was because I'm over 40 and could be a little pre-menopausal.  But I've
noticed and so has my family that my mood is mostly upbeat. I think its
because of the increase in energy and not feeling tired and ran down all the
time.

I've only lost 21 pds so I cant wait to see how I feel after losing 40 and
then my final goal of 90. I weighed 224 I'm at 203.5 and my goal is 135. It
can only get better.

One last thing, I'm thankful for finding this group. You all have been very
inspirational and helpful. Sometimes it makes me feel better just to type a
message, even if no one responds I know you guys are reading it. And if I
need help then you always respond. So THANK YOU!!!

For all this I give thanks.

I am thankful to have gotten a handle on my lifelong obesity challenge,
lost the appropriate amount of weight and maintained the loss for over
five years now. I never thought it would happen in my lifetime.

I am thankful for computers and the Internet which have enabled me to
help myself and others with gastric illness and weight control issues.

I am thnakkful for mychildren and grandchildren and adorabletwo pets
that are real family too.

I am hopeful that the polyps i need to have removed are benign.

I hope that lab analysis does not turn up anything beyond polyps (and
you have good chances of that).

I too am thankful for ASD -- thanks to you all for being there,
listening to me, and keeping me inspired!  And of course I'm thankful
for all the changes that have come with weight loss and improved
fitness -- the way I look and the clothes I can wear, but more
importantly the enjoyment I get from things like running and hiking,
and of course the improved health and well-being.  And I'm grateful to
all who helped me get here, including especially Tom, my ex-trainer,
with whom I worked out this morning.  (He and his fiancee are  back in
town spending the holidays with her family.)

By the way, the gym magazine with the article about me has just come
out.  We haven't received our subscription copy yet, but I got a box
of complimentary copies, and I noticed a copy out in the lounge in the
gym today.  I'm really pleased by the article and so is Tom.  He said
he'd like to have a copy framed, so I thought I might do that as a
gift for him.  Now that he has moved on to a management position, he
sees this as a sort of "certificate of achievement" for his work as a
trainer.

I am thankful for many things, including still being slim, relatively
secure financially, not too sick, being married and having a child
etc. I also have some interesting things to do at the moment.

I am not at all happy about lack of personal time and being
interrupted all the time.

I'm especially thankful for my children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Family is very important to me.  Sticking with the diet and exercise has
allowed me to enjoy good health, activities with the grandkids, biking, etc.
I'm hoping the good health continues into my fast approaching retirement
years.

I too am thankful for ASD.  I think it's been a big help in sticking with my
diet and exercise program.
