We had a baby boy, our #2 this morning. Nothing unusual about this
baby so far, everything is going well.

Congratulations and I hope you find what IS unusual about your son as he
grows!

Thanks to Rachael, adak, Chris, Crafting Mom, Carol, Cheese, Gloria,
roxan, The Queen of Cans and Jars, Dally, JennP. I am quite
touched. The baby weighs about 7 lbs right now, I forgot that they can
be so tiny. It feels like a toy baby. He is relatively calm. That's
all I can say so far about him. He looks quite serious when he is
awake.

He won't be tiny for long on his high protein, high fat diet.

That's an interesting point.
Human milk has (by weight) 8.5% of carbs, 0.8% of protein, and 4% of
fat. (I am not 100% sure of the low number for protein, I may be
mistaken in how I interpreted the numbers)
http://classes.aces.uiuc.edu/AnSci308/HumanLact.html
That's about 46% of calories from carbs, and 49% from fat. 44% of the
fat is saturated, approximately like in beef.

Thank you Gregory. He seems to be a very lovely kid. Sometimes he
follows objects with his eyes and head and sometimes he does not. The
older son is still excited.
