I've gotten beyond a very crazy addiction after YEARS of having this.
This was my scale addiction! I often weighed only to find that my weight
stayed the same and sometimes went higher. I was getting so upset so
than I would eat! Today I'm realizing that I'm past this once and for
all. When I weighed myself this A.M. I was down from 195.5 to just 194.5
and this is my month loss !! But with the bigger picture I'm now 9 1/2
pounds less than when I begun this on Jan. 8,2006. So I'm ON MY WAY !!
The important thing is that I'm going down not up!! Keeping my journal
is my LIFE-SAVER!! This has really gotten me through the BAD STUFF! I
start my day with my journal! I go to my room and first I pray, than I
write in my journal. This keeps me sane! I write down what I eat too.
My size smaller is a good bonus!!! I look into my mirror and I can SEE
the changes there too.
Coming here is a great part of this :>)
As Rosie states over and over again , "Read & POST" and this IS
important.

This group is very important to me!!

Thank you !!!!!!!

glo,

Well hell, if you can do it so can I!!

Only my scale is the old fashioned one with the big red arrow so I just
read pounds and don't count the fractions. It's imbarrassing bending down
trying to guess if it's reading 243 or 242 or 245 as i strain to keep my
balance in that form (not a pretty picture).

I need a larger scale like something I can sit in and get a reading.
Maybe I could have my La-Z-Boy modified? :D

But seriously, congratulations!

I'm still evaluation diet programs. And I'm sedentary so that doesn't
help my diet, just eating and lazing about.

All the best,

Andy

Andy, This IS me too, I mean that I'm not able to get around very much
and when I go outdoors it's a scooter and in the stores it is my wheel
chair. But it still CAN BE DONE! I have gotten my head together and I
WANT this!! You need to want it for YOU!!!

Gloria,

I am in the beginning stages. Like I said earlier, "if you can do it, so
can !."

The day will come when we both win! That will be a prayer answered for us
both.

All the best,

Andy

Hey Andy,
When you first sent that answer to me I wasn't certain if you were aware
of my being sedentary. But you are sooo right, we CAN and WILL win this
battle. I wa too often frustrated with getting nearly no exercise but
now I'm ready to settle for  'however long' that this takes I WILL get
there! You too! I SEE your determination!

Best to you too:>)

Way to go!  I watch people around me let the scales determine if they
are having a good day or a bad day. I am trying to weigh just once a
month. It isn't easy.
Keeping a journal is the only reason I am still sane and living. Such
a help and so insightful when you go back and read through years of
entries.
this Newsgroup RULES!
