I know most of the diet programs rely on the USDA nutritional database.
That's great. But I want a feature to help me.
I'd like to search for say, cheese and then after it lists the results I
want to click buttons or fill in filters for "lowest in sodium, plus lowest
in cholesterol plus lowest in sat. fat" etc., and have it sort the cheeses
in that order so I don't have to do it? You get the idea?
Do any diet programs do this? Isn't that what computers are supposed to be
good at?

DietPower software does that. It allows you to search the database based on
a nutrient. You can download a trial version at www.dietpower.com .
