I've been out of work for a while. Other serious issues are going on in
my life. My self esteem is shot! I am eating like a pig again! I am
starting to put the weight back on that I have lost!
I feel disgusting!

Instead of watching yourself go out of control, like some sort of car crash
in slow motion, do something different today, like take a very long, slow
walk in a park, look at the trees and flowers and sky, consider everything -
nature, the world, the universe, your place in it, the relative importance
of fleeting temporal things like job and other issues and try to put
everything in perspective.

Then sigh, say to yourself, "Well, at the minimum I know that gaining back
weight I lost is just going to make me feel worse. So let me resolve to at
least eating healthily."

And don't feel like you have to go back to the same old thing you got tired
out when you became stressed. Try rearranging your diet into a new plan so
you are refreshed and starting something new, rather than going back to the
same thing you feel you are failing at.

And if that doesn't work - try again!

Failing that - try again!

Just keep trying!
