Hi!  This is a first for me....the whole talking
-about-my-weight-on-a-web-site thing.  I have gone up and down with my
weight for the last 5 years.  I'm ready to get serious about losing the
weight this time, but it seems that if I want to lose weight, then I'm
going to have to spend a lot of money I don't have.  Any pointers would
be a Godsend!

Welcome.

Actually, depending on how much you are currently spending on snacks and
prepared foods, eating healthily for weight loss can be a big money saver!

Instead of buying expensive restaurant or prepared meals, just get the
basics - vegies, chicken, fish, etc., and make your own meals. It's not
expensive at all!

Gotta disagree here. I've saved tons of money since I switched to
healthy eating. I no longer eat out as much, I eat a lot of veggies,
fruits, etc. It's saved me a bundle.

You won't be spending more money, you'll just be wasting a lot more food
by throwing it away instead of eating it.

It's hard to help you without knowing more.

I joined Weight Watchers, and it worked for me. The program and the support
both kept me on track. I had to litterally learn what eating right is. I
grew up working out 30 hours a week.. never had to learn...

You don't have to join anything though, it depends on how selfdriven you
are. Basically you have to eat less, more healthy, and move more.

You'll save a lot of money on food if you cook a little. The internet is a
good ressource for healthy recipes and tricks and tips and ideas. when it
comes to food, my first learned lesson and the most important one was that
if I want to eat healthy, I have to make healthy food YUMMY. Couldn't cook
when I started (not even eggs *blush*) and I researched, tried and yeah...
messed up a few times... but 1 now I can cook yummy delicious HEALTHY meals
and 2 we saved LOADS of money on snack foods and restaurants.

There's also free programs online (fitday, and such), I don't use them but I
know a lot of people here can direct you to them.

Tell us about yourself, ask the questions you need to ask and don't try to
sell us anything and we'll be more than happy to help you out.

;o) be good!
Will~
