I was surprised to see the scale stop at 289 pounds today. It's good to
be back on track after my recent three week stall. My next goal is 285
pounds by October 14, so let's see if I can meet it.
I'm marking a non-scale victory as well today. I'm wearing size 46
jeans for the first time since the early 1990s. Also, I gave away two
more bags of clothes to Goodwill. The contents included a pair of shoes
that are now too big for me; it seems my feet have shrunk a half-size.
I'd write more, but I'm exhausted from my workout today. This is the
sixth straight day I've lifted - 35 minutes lifting, 45 minutes cardio.
I alternate upper and lower body, so I've done both sections three
times this week. Somehow I think I'm going to take the day off
tomorrow....

That is so great!! Those small things that most people don't notice are
very encouraging! I can actually RUN upstairs now, where I used to have to
painfully drag myself up. =c)
Keep it up!!

Congratulations on the new numbers - weight and jeans!
You're getting more exercise than I am at the present. Our regular bike
rides have been washed out this week. The rain did hold off until this
afternoon and I did a short 12 mile ride this morning. I'm meeting a friend
in the morning and we're going to try for a 45 mile ride but they're still
predicting scattered showers. With the luck I've had this week they'll
probably scatter right along the bike route :(

I can relate! The pool was closed yeaterday and today because it was windy
here yesterday. (It's not windy today) So I've missed lap swim 2 days in a
row. <sigh>

Good for you, Neil! You're doing wonderfully. And do take a day off
from lifting now and again; you probably shouldn't really do it every
single day.

Good advice, Chris. I skipped two days, and feel much better now.
Incidentally, I've did something today I haven't been able to do in
years. I RAN! Well, it was more like a sprint. But I am counting it
anyway. :-)
