Mexican Concoction27 Jan 2004 17:36 GMT1
Last night I had some leftover pork roast in the fridge. I looked up for
recipes at Atkins and found a quesidia that looked good, but no good for
induction. Well I used it for inspiration and did this:
Slice 1/2 onion thinly
Low GI carbs, what are the benefits?27 Jan 2004 17:02 GMT1
When I get to maintenance, (Not doing Atkins, doing my own thing) I was
considering adding some low GI carbs back into my diet like long grain rice
and some whole grain or multi grain breads.  In the past these foods never
triggered overeating in me like white rice and white ...
What exactly is a blog?27 Jan 2004 16:56 GMT17
At the risk of appearing stupid, I have only seen the word blog in the past
few weeks, and would like to know exactly what it stands for.  I assume it
is some kind of log.

Low Carb Heaven .....LOVIN IT!!!!27 Jan 2004 15:03 GMT6
We went out our friend house the other night and had the best dinner.
I thought I would share it with you. The appetizers... the best
deviled eggs I had ever tasted without pickle.... mayo, salt, pepper
and tabasco!!!, stuffed celery with cheddar and mayo,  shrimp, celery,
Goal!!!27 Jan 2004 12:55 GMT8
Goal!!!   I reached the top of my goal range (170-175) for the first time
today.  Boy does that feel good!  It's been 20 years since I've been near my
"ideal" weight.
After 6 weeks of hovering between 176-181, I was wondering if I was setting
Ricotta Recipe27 Jan 2004 12:34 GMT1
Does anyone have any good Ricotta recipes?
Please share if you do!

Hi Jean,
I made your Ginger Cheesecakes for dessert last night. They were AWESOME!! I
especially liked the individual portions. I used all Splenda in the recipe as I
didn't have any e'tol.   Thanks a million for the recipe, it's definitely a
Microscopic Atkins Ice Cream27 Jan 2004 12:22 GMT53
I had a $5 coupon for my local Low Carb store, so the Atkins Ice Cream
looked perfect at $4.99 a box.
The box looks like the volume of 2/3 of a typical half gallon tub of Ice
Cream, like Breyers uses.  I was shocked to open it and find four teeny tiny
Which Carb Counter is better?? USDA or Atkins27 Jan 2004 12:12 GMT11
Hi there, been doing Induction for almost a week now.  It's going well.  But
I am wondering about the USDA carbohydrate counts vs. the Atkins Carb Count.
I have noticed a few discrepancies.
For example:
Meringue cookies w/splenda.....?27 Jan 2004 11:51 GMT13
Has anyone ever made these?  Looking on the tub of meringue cookies made
w/sugar, egg whites and vanilla--the carb count is 20g carbs (19 from
sugar) and 1g protein for 13 mini cookies....got me thinking.......could
they be made w/splenda?  They are already fat free, but 80 calories ...
Twin Study of Atkins:  It's The Calories!27 Jan 2004 11:16 GMT32

If further research bears out this result, it would reinforce my belief that
adding a bunch of "low carb" snack foods back into your diet will completely
nullify any weight loss advantage that low carb dieting might provide
Subway's "tortilla" wraps vs. La Tortilla27 Jan 2004 07:08 GMT5
The actual tortilla (if you can call it that) wrap that Subway uses is quite
large compared to the La Tortilla wraps and looks and feels closer to the
real thing.
I suspect they have them made for them, but was wondering if they're
Ambushed!!27 Jan 2004 06:58 GMT15
I went to my Aunt's 50th birthday party today.  I knew there would be
dessert of some sort, but I was planning to bypass it and just eat whatever
low-carb stuff was there.  However, I didn't know the whole party was a
"tea and cake" theme.  There must have been at least 30 ...
mirror mirror27 Jan 2004 05:00 GMT7
Hi all.  I think I am going to consider using a mirror instead of a scale
when I hit 185. I do use a mirror to try and figure out what I need to
weigh, but I may forget the scale all together.  I am 189 right now, but I
may need to lose more fat.  The reason I think I am going to ...
Constipation ??27 Jan 2004 04:45 GMT14
I have been on Atkins for a week and all is going well
except for this constipation problem the Atkins web page
made some suggestions and I got some Wheat Bran and it
helped some but I still feel a little miserable any help
