I am a newcomer to this newsgroup, but not to Atkins.  I lost 11 lbs. in 2
weeks on Atkins last August.  Then, I went on a cruise and "fell off" the
Atkins wagon.  I didn't gain the wait back though.
I am starting Atkins again, tomorrow (I always start on a Monday!), along with
Did your preferences of (lowcarb) foods change?26 Jan 2004 19:00 GMT8
Did you find that after starting a lowcarb WOE, you had a change in
what you like and not like?
I am very happy that I appreciate veggies so much more than before. Or
that I can appreciate *food* in general so much more, without feeling
Couple of New Products26 Jan 2004 17:57 GMT4
I found a couple of new products that might fit in well for those
pressed for time or, as in my case, looking for foods to have around for
my "go kit" that provide something more nourishing than the meal
replacement bars.  They'd be great for your emergency supplies (which
Portland, Ore.: Grocery deals26 Jan 2004 16:49 GMT2
I've gone on record here many times arguing that low-carb eating can
be cost-effective if people a) lay off the expensive specialty
products and b)  just bother to do some smart shopping. I also often
urge people to seek out wholesale grocers in their area, where they
Lyle McDonald's CKD vs Atkins diet26 Jan 2004 16:11 GMT19
I've been doing a McDonald-style cyclical ketogenic diet, and working
out for 40 minutes a day. On about the sixth day, I get really weak on
the treadmill, so replenishing muscle glycogen on the seventh day
restores my available energy. At the beginning of the following week,
A ? regarding calories burned26 Jan 2004 16:00 GMT33
I have a question regarding the burning of calories. According to fitday.com
I am buring over 3000 calories per day just by living - and more on days
that I excercise. My calorie intake is waaaay below this. But my weightloss
has slowed right down. I havent changed anything in my ...
Weight fluctuation patterns, new clothes and my anniversary.26 Jan 2004 15:56 GMT10
Just a quick note with my current weight loss status:
I was at 203 when I got up this morning, I was at 204 on Friday...not sure
where that pound went but I'm not going to go look for it.
I've noticed something I find odd as I have progressed with weight loss.

New Product 2good2btrue26 Jan 2004 14:56 GMT7
I started using a new product that i got from GNC, called Tetrazene.
This is by far the most effective diet product that i have used. It is
made for low-carb dieters to help with sugar and hunger cravings, and
unlike other crap that I fell for, this stuff does exactly what it
Low-Carb Skippy Peanut Butter26 Jan 2004 13:48 GMT67
Wow!  Found this at Walmart a couple weeks ago and am totally pleased!
Tastes just great and my kids can't tell the difference. It is sweetened
with Splenda.
It is called Carb Options by Skippy:
My appetite suppressant HEADS UP26 Jan 2004 13:03 GMT75
For some reason my bellsouth account is being obnoxious and my posts
aren't showing up.  Just wanted to point out "Kisha Rudden" is
actually Kevin Gowen.

I am approaching my goal weight, i plan on going 4 -5 kg's lower and then

At that point decrease the aerobics and increase the resistance training
Feel like I'm gettin' away with something26 Jan 2004 01:04 GMT6
Today was my official weigh and measure day at Curves, and I lost 4 pounds!
Even though this was The Month of Too Many Nuts.  I am surprised that I am
still losing and haven't stalled at all yet, and I'm even more surprised at
how easy all of this is.  I lost inches too, but I ...
