| Damnit, I'm stuck! | 23 Jan 2004 02:43 GMT | 12 |
Well... almost a month into this WOE, I have lost 12 lbs. The scale hasn't moved since Friday of last week. Fortunately, it hasn't gone up, but it's not dropping either. I eat less than 20g of carbs per day. I really haven't changed anything

| Hi...another newbie | 23 Jan 2004 02:24 GMT | 1 |
I've been lurking for a long time, and thought I would introduce myself. I've been doing the LC WOE for about 7 years off and on...sometimes more "off" than "on," but that's a long story...I found most of the time when I went "off" it was when I would hit a plateau and get ...

This was the 2nd time in my life that I have bought ground beef. It was on sale for $1.99 a pound. (The first time was when I tried making spaghetti sauce, years ago.) I tried giving my dog some raw hamburger. Wow, he loved it.

| CHF & Atkins ? | 23 Jan 2004 01:09 GMT | 6 |
A newbe here and I was wondering if anyone has CHF and has tried the Atkins diet and what were the results? I'm pretty sure I can define the approximate age where I developed the CHF and it coincides with weight gain (water retention) of about 20/25#. Since "official" diagnosis and ...

First, it's nice to see you posting. I think of you as one of the LC dessert goddesses. Anyway, I am thinking of making either your tiramisu or just the almond loaf for an experiment (or I may split the loaf up and try

| had dinner at TGI Friday's | 23 Jan 2004 00:14 GMT | 6 |
Last night I went to dinner with my son and daughter-in-law, and I persuaded them to go to TGI Fridays to check out the new Atkins menu. We all shared an order of the Tuscan Spinach Dip with fresh vegetables, and it was awesome. I loved it, and certainly plenty big enough for 3 as ...

| Wal-Mart Peanut Butter | 23 Jan 2004 00:08 GMT | 6 |
I buy the Wal-Mart brand Peanut Butter and it has 5g of carbs and 2g of dietary fibers. Net=3g. Me or my kids can't taste a difference. And it's MUCH cheaper than Skippy!

| Low carb products I'd like to see | 22 Jan 2004 23:54 GMT | 26 |
I'd like to have some frozen meals, made with real products and vegetables. I'd like less snacks and ice cream (those -- and beer and pizza -- are how I got fat in the first place) and things with "polydextrose" and "maltitol" and other evil-sounding names. Stuff that's

Just in case any of you haven't heard of them or tried them- these things are amazing! I couldn't tell them from regular white flour ones and they brown beautifully for quesadillas. MMMMMM If I may say so, 100% better than La Tortilla Factory (and I used to like those

Hello, everyone. I lost 35 lbs. low carbing a year or so ago. I have held fairly steady (I haven't weighed lately, maybe I shouldn't say that), but I still need to lose some weight and improve my cholesterol so I'm going back to the low carb. I had a
