New to the Newsgroup -- restarting Atkins..22 Jan 2004 06:51 GMT2
Howdy!
So I began Atkins 8/5/02 and originally lost 42 pounds.  I've gained a

loosing again after I got off the antibiotics and b) started eating a

Funny exercise joke...22 Jan 2004 03:58 GMT2
I signed up for an exercise class and was told to wear loose-fitting
clothing.  If I HAD any loose-fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in
the first place!

I've grown accustomed to your carbs. 22 Jan 2004 02:47 GMT3
This is sort of a question/observation.
I've noticed when I add new, carbier, foods to my diet that the first day
I have them I get a moderate spike in my blood glucose readings, but that
if I keep eating them, the next day my post prandial results are back to
Store-bought salad dressings on SB/Atkins?22 Jan 2004 02:45 GMT3
I have looked through the store-bought salad dressings and, for the
most part, many/most have very low sugar/carbs.  As long as it's lower
than 2g carbs/sugar per serving, isn't this OK?  I see many people
talking about making their own dressings but I've consulted both the
BK versus Carls Jr.22 Jan 2004 02:25 GMT1
For lunch or dinner on the road, at work or just a treat, try the new Low
Carb burger from Carl's Jr.
6.0 grams and fairly expensive but well worth the "fast food" meal. I lower
the carbs by dumping the tomato and onions.
Whatever happened to Tina Kaye?22 Jan 2004 02:03 GMT1

Back on track22 Jan 2004 01:34 GMT2
I switched my diet last June to a Lo-Carb WOE.  For months I did great.  I
had no headaches.  I could leave my Tums at home.  My jeans fit again.
Then, I got cocky.  Sure, I have can have that muffin, it's just one.
Sunday, I couldn't get my jeans zipped.  I realized I had been ...
Newbie: Measuring Salad Greens and Veggies?22 Jan 2004 01:31 GMT22
Can anyone help me figure out how to measure my salad greens and
veggies?  During Induction, are we talking about 2 loosely packed cups
of salad greens?  Does this seem like an awfully small amount to
anyone but me?  I mean, how many leaves of romaine lettuce can I fit
King crab!!!22 Jan 2004 00:43 GMT6
Since I got off work early enough tonight to have dinner with my dad, he
fixed king crab for us!  He got it for less than $9 a pound at a Wal-mart
Supercenter, and it's usually around $20 a pound.  I had 2 legs worth of
crab meat, dipped in melted butter, and a nice big salad.  I ...

measuring amounts of food22 Jan 2004 00:30 GMT27
Maybe I should ask this, but how many of you actually measure
things like salad greens?  I kept measurements in mind, but I sure
didn't measure them.  Are most people here that precise?
Whey Protein22 Jan 2004 00:15 GMT2
I have seen a few posts indicating that you can use Whey Protein asa
substitute in receipes.  The only thing I can find is Whey protein used to
create a shake.  Is this the same?
