| Post-Partum Weight Loss Trouble on Atkins | 20 Jan 2004 02:11 GMT | 14 |
I SO ANXIOUSLY awaited the day I would stop breastfeeding after my baby was born so I could start the Atkins program and lose all the weight I had put on (30 pounds pre-pregnancy, 50 pounds during pregnancy). It has been 3 1/2 months since I had my baby, and I have

One of those "Curves" gyms just opened up in my town. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who works out there as to what they think about it and if it has helped them while LC-ing. Thanks, rebeq (boston, ma)

| Blimpie - A mixed review | 20 Jan 2004 01:09 GMT | 1 |
I went to Blimpie for lunch today. For those of you not familiar, Blimpie is a submarine sandwich seller in the US. Nowhere near the market penetration of Subway, but I have always preferred Blimpie over Subway.

| nuts and carbs help please | 20 Jan 2004 00:55 GMT | 9 |
On a packet of nuts i have just bought it says carbs 7.8 grms and fibre 6.2 per 100 grms so that would give a net carb for atkins purposes of 1.6 is that right because according to the book about 30 grms of nuts equal 5 grms carbs so i am now totally confused.

| This is interesting... | 20 Jan 2004 00:48 GMT | 4 |
I wonder if anyone else has ever experienced this. I guess you could say that I'm a low carb veteran. You could probably also say that I'm not really a success story. I've been off and on the WOE for years...originally losing 50 pounds and I have more or less kept that weight off ...

| Beer | 19 Jan 2004 23:11 GMT | 19 |
Thank you Budweiser for Michelob Ultra. 2 nice ice cold glasses and only 5.8 carbs. It makes a nice Friday night treat. Better than red wine as far as carbs go.

| Another "how does LC work" question | 19 Jan 2004 23:05 GMT | 13 |
Ignore, for a second, the following three supposed benefits of LC, (I'm not denying these things; I just want to remove them to see if there's anything left in LC): i. overcoming carb "addictions".

Todays paper says Burger King introduces their hamburger without buns. It comes with a fork and plastic container. Stores are urged by the home office to charge the same price as the bunned burger. PJ

| PCOS & exercise question | 19 Jan 2004 21:59 GMT | 16 |
I have PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and am also a type 2 diabetic. I've managed to lose 43 lbs (yee-haw!) and am seeing lots of body changes, but I'm having difficulty losing from my waist/abdomen. I realize that women with PCOS/diabetes put wt on at that location, but there ...
