I'm Trying to like Tofu but..........................:(.............................19 Jan 2004 19:35 GMT26
I bought some extra firm tofu, soaked it in Bragg Aminos( like soy
sauce) and then laid it on a paper towel to dry a bit. I baked the
crap out of it to dry it out and dehydrate it. I have tried to fry it
in olive opil and garlic and it laid in the pan and flipped like a

First is there any kind of low carb alternative to pizza crust.  There is
that Atkins bake mix that will do bread, pancakes & muffins, but will it
handle a facsimile to a decent pizza crust.  Or is there something else
entirely that does a good job.

have lost about 8 pounds already.  I am 5ft 11", 270 lbs and hoping to
get down to 200 by the end of the year.  I don't feel any of the "side

carbs vs. calories, the tradeoff?19 Jan 2004 17:28 GMT19
Sooooo, today I wanted to buy a loaf of Atkins Country Light
Bread.  Three g of carbs and 70 calories per slice IIRC.  I was

Spreadsheet For Tracking Weight Loss19 Jan 2004 16:10 GMT4
Well written Excel spreadsheet for tracking weight loss. Use pounds, stones,
or kilograms. Produces charts and graphs of loss and will project future
weight and goal date. Has a field for daily notes which I use to see what
effects my progress.

heartburn--MY update19 Jan 2004 13:17 GMT14
Something Jenny said, combined with the fact that I just learned
that my HMO is raising the price on my Prevacid and the fact that
I have felt really good, led to my skipping my Prevacid yesterday
morning.  That was a BIG mistake!  Ack!  VERY bad heartburn last

Beef burgers!19 Jan 2004 11:06 GMT15
I'm still in induction, and the biggest saving grace is beefburgers.
This diet has forced me to make my own, so I know what's in there.
Today we had some real good ones - top quality minced steak, a bit of
onion and bound with a little egg white.
