I just should not eat nuts16 Jan 2004 22:30 GMT27
You know, even though I'm still losing, albeit slower than the beginning, I
bet I would lose a lot more if I could stay away from nuts, especially
pistachios and almonds. At first I thought it would be great to have
something relatively low-carb that was crunchy and salty to ...
spaghetti squash  Mmmmmmm16 Jan 2004 22:28 GMT3
Well, I tried this for the first time.  I am still dumbfounded that I didn't
have this years ago.  Kind of strange considering I try almost everything
under the sun.  Anyway, I cut it in half, seeded it and put a half in
boiling water covered for 20 min.  Then took it out and used a ...
Induction/ goal weight help16 Jan 2004 21:36 GMT5
I have done the induction phase am at a good weight for a man. I am large
framed and am 5'10" and now weigh 170 from a high of 185. My problem is how
do I stay low carb and not continue to lose weight ? I am doing low carb
mostly because of a high cholestrol and high triclyceride ...
Ragu -low carb?16 Jan 2004 21:03 GMT11
I just discovered two new sauces in the spaghetti sauce section.
Ragu "Carb Options" Alfredo sauce and Double Cheddar sauce
I have not tried them yet.  They claim 2 carbs per serving.  No sugar.
I'll bet they are working on a low carb red sauce.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!  First 5 days of induction.......16 Jan 2004 20:46 GMT2
I started on the Atkins Monday and have lost 8.5 lbs. since then!
YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  The first couple of days I was worried because it didn't
seem to be falling off like the last time I was on Atkins.  The Whoosh fairy
came again last night!  I love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Walden Farms - 0 Carb Salad Dressing -- Fact or Fiction?16 Jan 2004 19:10 GMT7
Has anybody heard of these people. Their label clearly advertises "No
carbs" and also has "0 carbs" on the nutritional information. I'm eating it
(Thousand Island), but it seems like a mislabeling or a cheat of some sort.
Anybody else used this?
Ruby Tuesday Question16 Jan 2004 18:54 GMT4
Hello folks, my girlfriend and I are just starting the Atkins diet, and
everything seems to be going smoothly (I had a horrible time the first two
days, but stuck with it and now I feel great).  However, tomorrow we have an
unavoidable family engagement and have to go to Ruby ...
REQ: Dr. Atkins original bread recipe16 Jan 2004 18:18 GMT1
Would someone be so kind as to post the bread recipe from Dr. Atkins'
original diet book?  All I can remember is that is uses egg whites,
cream of tartar, and artificial sweetener, but I can't remember the
proportions or the baking time.
Frito-Lay Introduces Low-Carb Chips16 Jan 2004 16:00 GMT13
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Snack foods company Frito-Lay said Wednesday it
is introducing two new types of chips to capitalize on the popularity of
low-carbohydrate diets.
The two new products, called Doritos Edge and Tostitos Edge, will cut
day three of induction almost over....... kind of long...a little excitted about the resaults........16 Jan 2004 14:40 GMT7
I recently just started atkins over. I have been following it to the
letter and even drinking tons of water. It seems today exspecially today
that everytime I turn around I have to pee. I have been keeping well under
20 grams of carbs over the last 3 days. Also I have noticed ...
Pre-diabetes and carb sensitivity16 Jan 2004 14:18 GMT2
I would like to ask an ignorant question.
Supposedly, in a healthy person, after eating more or less any meal,
fluctuations of blood sugar levels are minimal. As soon as glucose
enters blood, insulin is secreted and glucose is absorbed.
Any diabetics in this group?16 Jan 2004 12:59 GMT10
My husband got the go ahead from his doc yesterday to start the Atkins diet.
He asked the doc if I (a T2 diabetic in good control, low (123) cholestrol,
blood panel all within normal range) could go on this diet.  The doc said
with my numbers he could recommend it and thought it ...
