Atkins Induction - Bacon (Nitrates)15 Jan 2004 17:23 GMT30
It's hard to find packs of nitrate free bacon here in the UK (at least I've
not seen them).  Would eating bacon that contained 11% nitrates and zero
carbs be that bad during induction?
Also, I have some prepacked smoked mackerel & packed fresh smoked haddock -
Water intake question15 Jan 2004 16:58 GMT7
I remember reading somewhere that for every X pounds you are
overweight, you should drink an extra X oz of water.  Does anyone on
this group know a good ratio to use for this?  Also, is there any
guidelines regarding the amount of sodium you intake?
Does LC work for everyone?15 Jan 2004 16:34 GMT21
Let me define LCing as the following:
Eating no less than a certain amount of carbs, and eating other foods
(fat and protein and fiber) until full.

Anyone tried Yates LC Menu yet???15 Jan 2004 16:15 GMT3
I've just seen that the UK pub chain Yates' are doing a LC menu, that
consists of a chicken burger (substituting beefburgers for bread) and
a breakfast. A spokeman for the company said that the menu has only
been in place since the 1/1/04 and already accounts for 4% of all food

Carb Fit--more15 Jan 2004 15:38 GMT9
Carb Fit is part of the Hain Celestial Group.  These are the same
folks who produce Westsoy Soy Slender.  I think I should have
stock in them instead of McDonald's.  Didn't I tell my advisor
that I wanted to see that McD's stock?!
Did you ask for LC KFC?15 Jan 2004 15:25 GMT21
A friend of ours owns several KFCs....tells us the unbreaded chicken is
coming back, (didn't say when) as well as low carb side dishes.....but now
that doesn't surprise anyone does it? (BTW...both he and his wife have been
low carbing for years and look great.)

suggestions please - travel snax for maintenance?15 Jan 2004 14:54 GMT8
I tried posting this before and didn't get any response, so here's one
more shot.
