Few and far between, at least in my area (I wish someone would open a
low carb store here!) but things are looking up in the grocery stores.

I started on Atkins on 11/13/03 - 11 weeks ago.  Since then, I've lost 20
pounds.
Cholesterol has gone down from 254 to 228
LDL cholesterol has gone down from 136 to 132

there was an article in the MILW.JOURNAL this past sunday, that
listed the ABOVE AVERAGE whole wheat pastas that were also
considered low carb.

My cholesterol test results are in30 Jan 2004 19:14 GMT10
I had my cholesterol tested (fasting) on Feb 21, 2003.  I started the Atkins
diet in June of 2003.  My latest test is from Jan 14, 2004.
Total Cholesterol went up from 163 to 168
HDL cholesterol went up from 71 to 82

Ok, question: If you can eat minimal carbs and get into ketosis (whether
using Atkins, SB, or some other plan) and then stay in ketosis, is THAT
the key??

I found a sauce at Trader Joe's that made for a nice change of flavors for
supper: it's called "Punjab Spinach Sauce", and has a pleasant Indian
flavor.  It's not hot or spicy; just flavorful.  I simmered fake chicken
(Quorn cutlets) in it; it would be even better with real chicken.

OK I need some help here !
I have been on the MRC diet for quite a while now and have lost 125
pounds. I had actually lost 150 but quit smoking in November and

Anyone here tried the "G.I. Diet" (glycemic index) by Rick Gallop?
I've done Atkins a few times and lost weight quickly and easily but never
manage to stay on it and when I go back to high carb I really pack on the
LB's in a hurry.  Before Christmas I lost 23 lbs on the Atkins in 2 ...

Before LC:
- Bagel and large Tim's (synonomous for coffee in Canada) for breakfast
- Super Value Meal, Super size fries for lunch
- Maybe chocolate bar for snack
