Water with Lemon?15 Jan 2004 06:02 GMT5
I am limiting my carbs to help control my diabetes and lose some
weight.  My doctor has asked me also to drink at least 64 oz. of water
a day.
I like to squeeze a think slice of lemon into my glasses of water, but
I'd like to kick the person that started the misconception...15 Jan 2004 05:54 GMT23
...that people who follow a LC WOE can stuff themselves silly with
artery-clogging foods and still lose weight.
What SHOULD be simply said is that LCers are able to eat many foods that are
*more filling* because of the fat and/or protein content so that they stay
Faux Spaghetti!15 Jan 2004 05:05 GMT7
I found my White SHIRATAKI Noodles.  (I think.)
They just made a very convincing plate of SPAGHETTI!
Noodles are <1 carb per serving and 7 servings per 7 ounce bag.
From what I have read, all the carbs are fiber.

A better LC quiche15 Jan 2004 03:05 GMT3
I've been making no-flour, no-crust quiche since I started LC. But, if
you were a quiche eater before LC, you probably noticed that the lack
of flour in the egg mixture makes the texture...not as nice. Not as
fluffy. In my experience, LC quiche (or breakfast pie or whatever) was
Suppression of Appetite15 Jan 2004 02:28 GMT6
As I mentioned in a previous post, I did low carb a year ago and lost
30lbs. I am well on my way to losing the remaining 20lbs. I have begun to
track my calories only out of curiosity and sure enough the low carb diet
has decreased my appetite remarkably. I am actually eating less ...

Quick Question15 Jan 2004 01:41 GMT5
I am really struggling through the induction phase, and it didn't make
it any better when I found out that the Chicken Breast Strips I ate
from Jack in the Box weren't low in carbs (36 grams per serving!).  I
understand that it takes approximately two days for your carb reserves

Erythritol - Zcarb Bars14 Jan 2004 23:59 GMT2
After testing the Zcarb chocolate bars twice, I've found they do live up to
their billing:  no blood sugar rise and no digestive symptoms.
The only diet pitfall I see here is the calories--the bars are small and
clock in at 181 calories apiece. If you are losing slowly and eat one a ...
